Just got this machine. Great review but you missed 1 thing for pizza lovers: you didn’t look at or show the bottom of the pizza crust… What has been suggested on other reviews for using the air fryer & basket is to place the oven rack and air fryer basket on it on the top tier while placing the solid pan on the bottom rack for catching crumbs & drippings. This allows more air space circulation underneath the fryer basket and results in more even cooking on the bottom of fries and other foods. Check it out as I’d like to hear your opinion. Thanks for your videos!
Thanks for such a thoughtful feedback. Sorry we didn't get to show the bottom the bottom crust. We lost that part of the footage so we had to make do. And you're absolutely right about using the rack or basket for the pizza as well. The reason why we used the baking pan was that we aimed to make the scores of different ovens comparable. So we thought to keep certain parameters the same. In this case, some ovens can only have their racks on top of the baking pan and not slide into the rails, and not all of these ovens have an air fryer basket, so we just opted to use the baking pan. We'll make sure to recommend the best way to bake pizza (with the rack or basket) in our future videos. Thank you so much again ❤️
Cuisinart TOA-60 in Amazon: amzn.to/3OyLMEr Check out our in-depth review of the Cuisinart TOA-60: shouldit.com/toaster-ovens/reviews/cuisinart/cuisinart-toa-60/
Excellent job on your review. Got this machine a couple of weeks ago and I'm having a blast learning how to use it. Great stuff. One thing you left off, though ... you didn't grill anything.
Thank you for the kind words! And yes, it's a pity that we didn't get to grill any meat because the video was kind of long already. Maybe we'll get to do it in a future video. In the mean time, please keep in touch with us about your experience with this oven.
Thank you for the kind words! It's this pair of meat shredder claws www.amazon.com/dp/B003IWI66W?&linkCode=ll1&tag=lunagbf-20&linkId=b82a9a2f3672509db0384027be642b80&language=en_US&ref_=as_li_ss_tl
The Cuisinart doesn't have digital control so we had to use a separate oven thermometer to keep track of the temperature inside. Most digital toaster ovens will have a designated preheat phase where they heat up the oven to a predetermined temp (not necessarily the temp you choose) and then have some kind of audio cue. However, the Cosori Air Fryer Toaster Oven CO130-AO actually preheats to your actual input temperature and then keep beeping to let you know.
@@shouldit.official Thank you. I asked especially since the function button on my TOA-60 is misaligned and when I choose "Toast" it is way to the right of that selection.
Too bad cooking burger patties isn't one of our tests. However, we can assure the Cuisinart can grill burger patties (using the air fryer basket) no problem.
Excellent review. thank you. I would like to have seen how you clean it though, as you mentioned that it splattered a lot of grease when cooking the chicken. Does this affect the fan? I imagine grilling would have caused the same issue..
Thank you for the kinds words! We couldn't use the cleaning footage due to limited angles but the oven's interior walls are easily to clean with just some paper towels and cleaning agent. We were worried about grease getting onto the fan as well but it didn't seem to be a problem. Our tests aside, in actual use, you can score the chicken skin beforehand and/or cover it with tin foil for 3/4 of the cooking duration to minimize grease splashing. Same goes for grilling meat, especially if you're doing something like pork crackling. We think grilling meat shouldn't cause so much grease splashing.
You absolutely can. The Cuisinart has really good heat distribution which help get even coloring on your cakes. Just remember to turn off convection so that the cake can keep the shape.
If you're worried about toxicity, we'd recommend copper, stainless steel, or cast iron cookware with no coating. However, foods may stick to them, making it more tricky to clean. Nonetheless, we suggest getting the cookware from known brands like Calphalon, Le Creuset, Cuisinart, and others.
Yes, the Cuisinart TOA-60 has a total of 4 heating elements, 2 above and 2 below. Its air-fryer function deploy all 4 for better heat distribution. And they are nichrome, so they are easy to clean even if grease splashes onto them.
@@lcc726 Nichrome is an alloy of nickel and chromium. Nichrome heating elements use resistant heating as opposed to quartz heating elements that use infrared heating.
For the exterior walls, you can simply spray them with all-purpose cleaner and wipe them with a soft cloth. For the interior walls, we prefer scrubbing them with soapy water and a scrubber sponge. You can take a look at all the details here healthykitchen101.com/toaster-ovens/tips/how-to-clean-a-toaster-oven/
You should check where the hot air is coming out and how hot the casing get at various temperatures. Most people will fit this device next to another one , not stand alone
Good point, we'll use an infrared thermometer to check next time. For now, although the oven has good heat insulation, the casing can still get quite hot to the touch after 400°F, especially after a long cooking time (over 15 minutes). Nonetheless, as long as you leave around 2-3 inches of space around the oven, it should be fine. But remember to not plug the oven to the same outlet as other appliances since ovens have pretty high wattage (usually around 1800 W).
Most newer pyrex can be used, if it says microwave / dishwasher safe. I'd save vintage old school pyrex for use with gas ovens. As they would not work with microwave ovens. The glass was made differently in the items that say pyrex but have no microwave or dishwasher safe indicated on the bottom of the items.
Is it coated with some non stick coating? I look for only stainless steel as I'm afraid of forever chemicals in non stick cookware. Thank you by the way. Your videos are well made!
You can read up on the details here healthykitchen101.com/toaster-ovens/reviews/cuisinart/cuisinart-toa-60/#cleanability . But in short, it's quite easy to clean overall. But the oven doesn't have an interior non-stick coating so you might need a baking soda and water paste to scrub off the burnt bits.
Yes, cooking burger patties straight in the oven may take too long and dry them out. Besides just cooking them on a cast iron pan, you can also use the cast iron pan with maximun heat to quickly get a nice crust and finish cooking the burger patties in the oven.

new suscriber here, that was a excellent review, all the things I needed to know. I am going digital. thanks again!
Thank you for the kind words! This Cuisinart oven has a digital model that should deliver similar cooking performance if you're interested.
How do you know when it is preheated to 400 degrees does a bell go off or how does it tell you when it has been preheated?
The Cuisinart doesn't have digital control so we had to use a separate oven thermometer to keep track of the temperature inside.

Can you bake scones in this air fryer?
Thanks for watching our video, @lauriemueller8921. ^^
Can u use a pyrex glass?
Yes. Most pyrex bowls can withstand up to 300 degrees C or 570 degrees F and this oven only gets up to less than 500 F.
Most newer pyrex can be used, if it says microwave / dishwasher safe. I'd save vintage old school pyrex for use with gas ovens. As they would not work with microwave ovens. Borosilicate glass was used in pieces before microwave ovens became popular.
Hello from Ecuador, any home baker that successfully used it for that purpose? Thanks in advance for feedback
That constant ticking isn’t a problem??
The ticking is due to the internal mechanism and is not a cause for concern.
Good presentation but no price either us, Gdp, or Thai Baht.
Sorry for the inconveninece. Since the price is subject to chang over time, we can only leave an Amazon link to the oven in the description.
Can you not look it up, shop around? 😏

I had the same a few years ago, but all of the sudden stopped working. I think the bull that heats broke or something.
That sounds like a reasonable assumption. Did you try getting it fixed? It might just need replacing the heating elements which are quite cheap.

One of the knobs stopped turning to the right after 1.5 years of usage. It’s a waste of money!!! Don’t buy
