Excellent Video as usual, You mention the LUFTs and having targets. how do you discover what the targets are for a specific platform? The days of vinyl production and their requirements are past (unless you have mega bucks and/or a record company behind you) So I am investigating how to master myself without expensive monitors (and a new pair of ears) for online streaming.
One tool I use is Expose from Mastering the Mix. I’m not a fan of their AI-driven stuff but Expose lets you analyse a finished render and compare it against known targets like Spotify, UA-cam, etc. Really handy and only $30 or so. It will also detect stereo issues and dynamic range.
Spotify -14 LUFTs, if you don't do that in the mix, Spotify reduce it for you anyway...if not listen to David Guetta's mixes, super hyper LOUD!!!! DON"T f*cking care about those stupid's LUFTs believe me, just mix as much loud you can
I bought into Izotope as a newbie due to AI. You had videos saying Izotope AI is a good place to start. I wanted to ask you to do a video on what to do after that start. Other than relying on AI alone, this seems very easy to use. However, as I've learned more, it seems indeed Izotope has great tools to use. Any thoughts on comparing this with Ozone, especially for someone with a year or two experience?
Hi Mike I'm one of your subscribers. Do you know if there is a software for windows that will listen to the midi commands and translate to pressing a key to the keyboard. By the way thanks very much for this video.
Hi Mike, Great vid as always. Have u compared this to Ozone 10/11 and compared the results. Only asking as ive used the trial version (older version) before and opted for Ozone which was ok as a starting point....just curious if u think this new version is better. Thanks
Heya, thanks for watching. I feel like this and ozone are very different beasts. Ozone is great, but perhaps has a more 'clinical' feel - and of course gets you there via AI. This to me encourages you to rely on your ears a little more, with being too concerned with the technical details. It feels a more 'musical' rather than 'technical' approach.
I Like the look of this, and your video was really useful - thanks.
Nice tool. The mono preview sounded very nice, so you did a good job on your mix.
Same thought here, that is a superb mono.
Awesome plugin. I love it 👌
Yep, it's fantastic❤
I bought BX Masterdesk. How would you compare Master plan and BX Masterdesk ? Thanks
СПАСИБО!!!за обзор отличный плагин
original source is also nicely balanced too ,i wonder who will this result with live recordings.
I like this plugin! Sounds cool! But Mike due to your experience, which one do you think is better, this one or Ozone 11 elements that uses AI?
I like Ozone 11 more, clean sound and fully editable ♥

As a novice, I have to make decisions on what to purchase soon - what is easier/better to use - Master Plan, Ozone 11 or T-Racks One for mastering?
both together are pure gold!

What a great song! Is it available somewhere?
Just to be clear..you were mastering a stereo track you exported from your project and not the project itself?
Yes, that's correct.

Senior with hearing loss above 2.5 KHz. Can't detect any difference using headphones. 😕
Will the software allow embedding metadata such as ISRC and ISWC codes?
Hey Mike.I got a question for you! Can I use this Master plan 1.5 in Cakewalk to finish my mastering? Is it compatible with cakewalk?
First!!
Yay!
Am I blind? I don’t see the link…
