    For new players like me, I recommend to do the DLCs in this order:
    1. Start the game, reach a specific quest and as soon as possible start the "From the Ashes". The reason is that you are gonna earn passive money while playing the base game and other quests.
    2. Finish the main game then in the prologue Hans Capon will automatically start his DLC quest.
    2. Don't continue the DLC from Hans and finish all the side quests if you want, then go back to Hans.
    3. After finishing with Hans, you start the quest with Johanka.
    4. Then start with Theresa.
    5. Then Band of Bastards.
    The reason for this order is that I think it makes more sense based on the story line.

    • @masterplokoon8803
      @masterplokoon8803 2 роки тому +17

      I would start with Theresa first after entering Sir Radzig's service so I can get the cool Skalitz shield plus it makes sense for Henry to ask his friend(or girlfriend if you completed the courtship quest) how she survived the massacre at Skalitz rather than waiting weeks of adventures to ask her.

    • @ShaneFlett
      @ShaneFlett 2 роки тому +1

      Ok, so seeing everything, I finished from the ashes because of this recommendation. So now, I'll try the Theresa(mill winch) and beat the game while so. Ok.

    • @ShadowOfDeadRhodes21
      @ShadowOfDeadRhodes21 11 місяців тому +1

      Based on chronological order wouldn't the Teresa quest be first and then the ashes DLC last? To me you should get your own castle after you complete the game and find out that you are a nobleman but the Teresa quest first takes place in the beginning of the game though (and if I am correct it does flesh out throughout the game as you go through the story as Henry.. I'm not certain but I think you get bits and pieces of her quest? Idk?) I also believe for this reason that the BoB dlc should take place somewhere in between those two and then Capon's DLC after either BoB or at the same time as Ashes.

    It seems to me that many people mistaken DLC for Expansions. DLC are suppossed to be small and cheap. It usually contain one soecific storyline and doesn't add too many thing into the main game, which is the point of DLC. It wouldn't add too many content into the game, otherwise it'll be refered as Expansion Pack.

      Paradox think DLC should be small and expensive. Names are irrelevant. While these DLCs are small, they're priced fairly, so not a huge deal. The Royal version can be had pretty cheap now, and includes all of them. I don't care if they call it a sequel, an expansion, a DLC, or an Act, as they originally called them on KS. I just want to continue Henry's story.

      My suggestion is to do Han's Capon DLC first thing first, then do Theresa's DLC, next is Band of Bastard right after Baptism of Fire, then build Prybislavitz (From the Ashes) right after that, all that money from selling armor from BoB should cover the cost of rebuilding Prybislavitz, then lastly Johanka's DLC.

      @@jackoberto01 I have a 1070 as well with most settings on high and very high. Loading is not an issue at all. The only loading time I'd remotely consider longer than usual is the initial load after booting up the game. For most games it doesn't really matter if you're on a SSD or a HDD, but not for this one. Having an SSD makes a big difference. Similar one is Star Citizen. Runs great with SSD and it's almost unplayable with a HDD. The difference between the two is night and day, and sadly, that's just how hardware works. If someone can't put up with buying a 240gb SSD so they can play a game that pretty much requires an SSD to be enjoyable, then maybe they shouldn't play the game. If everyone would get upset when something technically challenging comes out and they can't immediately jump into it with their dated hardware, we would be still playing pong. My initial reaction was aimed at OP, who sounds like is on the very same mind set.
      tl;dr:
      If your game runs so incredibly poorly that opening a map has a 10 second delay, maybe you should consider upgrading, not shitting on the devs for making additional content.

But there's nothing that's really essentially either, and the base game has plenty of content already, so if you've already put in a ton of hours and are starting to feel any sort of burnout at all, then you're safe to avoid it and just move on as well.

    Band of bastards could of certainly expanded outside of the story it offers, I surprisingly enjoyed playing as Theresa, it was like a little step into a horror version of the game.
    The hans one was a bit hit and miss personally.
    From the ashes was very enjoyable and having a base in the north of the map was very ideal! It’s hard for me to number them.
    Also I feel the same about fallout4, I generally don’t compare it to other fallout games and see it more as a fun survival/action title as 9/10 I’ll reinstall the game just to mess about with base building.. building a factory and producing my own gear/ammo/aid, was awesome!

    3. a womens lot.
    4. adventures of sir hans capon.
    i loved BOB i loved the team and exploring the map. plus the battle and armor at the end. from the ashes was kind of boring but the town and money reward is insane, i mean you get to build your own town. I also enjoyed a womens lot, being able to return to skalitz again is so great. (1)

      (2) and being able to see henry from another prospective was amazing. skalitz is my fav town in the game so I loved this dlc. tbh this is the only dlc that i haven’t finished, i am towards the end but i know how it ends. then there’s the adventures of sir hans capon, it was fun but it just felt like any random side quest and it was very short. plus the title doesn’t make any sense since 90 percent of the time hans is laying around and your the one adventuring. felt like a chore playing this one just going around and getting stuff for hans. It was just disappointing because I had high hopes for this one. Overall they are all fun but Band of bastards was unlike the rest mostly because of the sick armour at the end.
      Edit: I realize now that the johanka DLC exists and I assuming that when you made this vid that it didn’t. I am a good ways through that one and it is quite fun. I would put it in between 3 and 4

    I wasn’t a fan of the first half of Woman’s lot DLC. Yes the characterisation for Theresa was good, but a lot of the quests were fundamentally broken, such as the absolutely abysmal quest where it makes you search for linen and flowers. The bloody dog wouldn’t seek. The quests in this half were absolutely dull, being almost entirely fetch oriented. It also gave no opportunity to level up Theresa to survive more easily. Perhaps the thing that really made me dislike it, however, was the fact that it’s really easy to get dragged into it without knowing what you are doing. It can be initiated right at the start of the game, when Henry has awoken at Rattay and is conversing with Theresa. I made the mistake of asking her to tell the full story and all of a sudden I was balls deep in DLC. My overall experience with it wasn’t great.

    I enjoyed all the DLCs except A Woman's Lot. I actually hated that one. It's way too scripted, it forces me to play in a certain way, to follow predetermined paths and to use a useless character that I can't keep using, so I don't see the point on playing with it. Besides all of that, most of the quests are boring to me, I'd never choose to do those tasks but I have no choice. I would never accept most of those quests. I like to have options, to play an open game, no to be forced to play in a certain way and to have a secondary character choose make decisions for me. That DLC was SO disappointing to me, I just wanted it to end and keep playing the regular game, which I absolutely love.
    The rest of the DLCs are cool. Yeah, they're short but I liked all of them. They feel like part of the game; not like A Woman's Lot which feels like a completely different game. So...I have a thought on the Band of Bastards DLC regarding the armor. Given how hard the development team worked to keep realism in Kingdom Come Deliverance do you think maybe Henry is choosing not to strip the armor from his enemies? I mean, beyond player choice or basically like a break in the 4th wall. Wouldn't it be really bad for Henry to say show up wearing the enemies armor to a fellow soldier encampment? They would either try to kill him on sight thinking he's the enemy or even worse think he has gone full traitor, I would think.
    Henry's subconscious AKA the player- "Take the armor, take the armor, take the armor, take the armor."
    Henry- "Shut up subconscious you're drunk! If I show up wearing that before the Duke of whatever I'm a dead man." :)

This is a bank!”
    Amid all the commotion the bank manager comes to the teller counter and asks if he could lend assistance to the lady teller, she explains to him who the frog is and that he is looking for a loan and this is the collateral he expects to stand against his loan. The bank manager picks up the tiny pink elephant, looks at it and says “whats this? a knick knack patty whack? Give the frog a loan his old mans a rolling stone!”

  • @auldbadyin
    @auldbadyin 5 років тому +10

    1. BoB - more of what I like most about KCD, but again so many missed opportunities and far too short. At least WH showed it can incorporate more cinematic content in their DLC, and flesh out (more or less) new characters, which it then proceeds to remove from the game. This gets my vote for No. 1 because it actually seemed to have a story arc, even if it ends abruptly and takes your BoB’s out of play at the completion.
    2. A Woman’s Lot - mostly because of Theresa’s back story. Other than the Cuman torchlight ride out from Skalitz, this one missed opportunities for cinematic visuals. Theresa loses everything and everyone, but settles (following this DLC) for sweeping out her uncle’s mill in Rattay forever after. Really? Johanka’s storyline was okay, but bordered again on stitching too many bits and bobs together in an attempt to creates a coherent narrative. WH seems to create its DLC by committee without really having a coherent narrative it wants to tell. So it create good, but not great DLC. You finish this DLC with questions (what happens to Jóhanka and Matthias, who was the murderous Skalitz soldier, etc.)
    3. Amorous Hans - found it funny, too short, and ultimately disappointing because Han’s affair is just that...again ends with questions you won’t get answered... who was Sir Alphonse and why was he dealing with brigands to set up more highway robbery? Who was his buddy Anselm of Domky? Where do the brigands go - does Anselm get revenge etc. As you stated, these DLC don’t seem really more than side quests added after the fact - or maybe extracted from the game for DLC?
    4. From the Ashes - should have been great, but felt attenuated and the choices seemed arbitrary. Would have loved to have rebuilt Rovna along with Pribyslavitz given the promise to the sole survivor of Rovna and finding the priest to accomplish that end. WH just doesn’t go the little bit extra here to create a fully satisfying experience. As much as I love KCD, everything - the game, the DLC, seems incomplete and ultimately doesn’t deliver. The landscape of Bohemia and the historical details of the towns and villages being the notable exceptions.,

    ...Just looked up your playthrough, you actually didn't do it, maybe because the Charlatan was still in Sasau, he should be in Ledetchko when you talk to him about this, don't know if they didn't think of that and it screws up everything.

      Yes, I was really disappointed the first time I played it, did expect to receive at least some of the stuff I was collecting as Teresa.
      She could simply say she doesn't need this anymore now that she's a millmaid again and give you what you've collected and maybe even teach you something with the experience from all of this, then it wouldn't feel so pointless.

    Amorous Adventures has some great quests tho. The whole ledetchko arc was great. The dice tournament is fun and than in the final scene you get to BLAME THE FRENCH!!!!!!
    From the ashes I found a complete dissapointment. The building process does not feel rewarding. Getting better horses is cool but prybislawitz is so far off having it as a homebase is entirely useless. Also makes the Huntsmen's lodge that you can get in the hare hunt pretty much pointless. I'd prefer if I got to customize that home rather than prybislawitz but ig you're not going to get the office of master huntsmen in every playthrough.
    Band of Bastards was great but as you said short and I felt like you have minimal impact on how the story goes. You really only get like 2 choices in the entire DLC (how you deal with the traitor and if you can convince Kuno to stay). But it was still good fun. It just lacked a bit of content to be great.
    Womens Lot I love, the Madonna of Sasau quest is my absolute favourite quest in the whole game. I can't even put into words why/how much I love it.

    I liked the Sir Hans Capon dlc because you can kill everyone in that large camp and sell their armor/weapons.

    I share your opinion for from the ashes but kcd is a very realistic game and realisticly some blacksmiths boy wouldnt be able to completly customize a village but thats just for me otherwise i completly agree with your opinion

    Never understood the hate for fallout 4 especially when you can get some great mods for console. Not so much for ps version but Xbox and PC versions of fallout 4 are awesome.

    1. Tournaments DLC (longest shit ever, profitable)
    2. A Woman`s Lot (pretty interesting, pretty long)
    3. From The Ashes (story-based dlc, neat)
    4. Band Of Bastards (short, profitable, a lot of fighting)
    5. The Amorous Adventures of Bold Sir Hans Capon (pretty short yet still exciting)
    6. Treasure Of The Past (pretty interesting, profitable)
