@@LymeRegisFossils thank you I really appreciate your kind words 😀 Especially as I have just found someone has driven into the side of my van and not left a note. I’m f-ing furious but your kind words have cheered me up
That’s a big belemnite right down to the phragmocone , all be it a squashed one . You certainly got a bit of weight in your rucksack with the iron pyrites ones
I must get round to gluing that belemnite for the boys, they always trying to get a big whole one but they always have fractures before we even start 🙄 The boys shared the load up in Yorkshire so it wasn’t too heavy, although I did carry most of their finds once they filled their bags 💪🥰
Haha cheers buddy 🙏 , need to set an online shop up but I need to be 100% on what I’m calling it before I buy a domain 😬 Crazy Cretaceous creations is pretty hard to say let alone spell 🤷🏻♂️
Well it has been my planned business name for over 12 years now, sins some friends said you should set up a shop and call yourself Jurassic Jim, but as you know someone on the IOW already has that name…. Iv just been thinking or renaming something like fossils4sale as it’s some thing people will be searching for 🤔 Although it will also be selling bottles and other stuff so probably will be CCC 💪😜
Some really nice ones in there! 17:12 love that one. That is shell material, not just the cast, right? Do you sell any personalized fossil preps? Commissions, I suppose. I would feel honored to own something you’ve worked. With your signature engraved into some matrix left on. 😅 I don’t know if you’ve seen any videos on the Mamlambo Fossils UA-cam channel. He is in New Zealand and does a lot of fossil crab module preps with the air scribe tools. He has videos where he worked with fragile fossils and tough pyritic nodules. Perhaps his videos would give you ideas on how to tackle some of your more complicated ammonite pieces. Just a thought! I think you both of you are incredibly talented. Not just anyone can do that sort of prep work. Takes a lot of patience and time and a steady hand.
I’ve shared your channel on my social media. Happy to try to help make more people aware. I know I have found your videos entertaining and enlightening, so I’m sure others will also. You mentioned a store in your video, but I don’t see a link anywhere. 😕
Thank you for being so kind 🙏 Mamlambo is great I would love to get hold of one of those crabs 🤩 I’ll have to have a look back and see his ammonites videos because I’m quite new Iv missed them. I’m terrible with Christmas and loads of nightmares at home, that I haven’t loaded pics to my Facebook page selling page, I’m not even sure what I called it 🙄 Do you use FB and instagram? That ammonite at 17:20 that looks like the shell, is mostly calcite and the inside whirls have have split so I’m gunna try do a polish with rotary Dremel bits, it would be an honour to prep it for you 🥰 Or anything else you see let me know
I don’t use Facebook or Instagram a whole lot, but I do have them. 😄 Can I find you on there with the same name as your UA-cam channel? I would definitely like to work some sort of purchase out with you. I haven’t quite decided what I would hope to have you prep. You might not currently have what I’m leaning towards. Anyway…those details might be best discussed via Facebook or something. I haven’t seen any ammonite prep videos from Mamlambo. Mostly crabs and bone from whales or ichthyosaurs. I think ammonites aren’t nearly as common to find there. But I am new to his channel, so I’ve mostly seen videos within the last year or two. I wasn’t sure if the approach with the air scribe tools might be similar with the crabs, since they are in nodules like many of the ammonites you find. Thanks again for your kind replies. I think I have a tendency to make many channel owners avoid my comments. Too long or too overthinking or whatever. Sometimes it’s nice to have the acknowledgement that I actually exist. Much respect and gratitude to you, noble sir. 🙏🏻
@@valiantwarrior4517 thank you I look forward to hearing from you on Facebook 😀 I’m sorry if I am slow at replying sometimes but I like to leave my phone in another room and enjoy some piece, sometimes it’s days before I look at my phone, it does annoy my friends and family when there are trying to get hold of me. Before I had the channel I would leave my phone alone for weeks at a time so I can have a technology detox. So if I don’t post any videos for a couple of weeks, that’s when I’m having one of my detox’s
Whoops. I messaged you on Instagram. I’ll fire off a message on Facebook later today, if I remember. I found you on Facebook through the post of someone who is a friend of yours, I think. I’ve forgotten his name already, but he was promoting your UA-cam channel and had a photo of you and him in wet suits? Just wanted to give him credit for that.
That’s a cool box mate ,good stuff there alright.plenty of prepping for a long while. Are you selling the big one on the bench ,just asking lmao 😜🤔
lol cheers buddy all the best in this box 💪
Yes that biggun will be for sale when I finish prepping but it won’t be cheap

Looking forward to seeing this later thanks 🙏

Blimmey I hope they get it sorted for you having done that . That’s a good van 🚐 that in your videos

Bloody windscreen cracked the other day too 😭😭
nice collection of rocks ;)
Thank you 🙏

Very nice. Off to lyme regis this week or next and I need to start looking out for nodules. Love to hunt in Yorkshire
Yorkshire is well worth the extra time travelling 💪
Good luck in Lyme, I wanna get back there soon too
