    I love that English people say desiccated instead of dried. It's so much more dramatic and final. This coconut is desiccated and it's never coming back!

    You're spot on with your comment Ben. My only issue with vegan food is when it pretends to be something traditionally not-vegan

    I´m so glad this channnel isn´t like bragging with the fact that is vegan. It´s just like "Hey we have this great coconut chocolate pudding" and not be like "gluten free, dairy free, cruelty free, vegan pudding"

    You can do it without sugar but it will be non-sweet and blander, because the sugar not only sweetens but also brings out the flavour.

    "...this will taste good, because he doesn't make anything that doesn't." - Mike. AWWW that's quite possibly the sweetest thing any of you guys have said to Ben! (:

    Our quick ice-cream recipe could be made with honey substituted for the icing sugar if that helps!

      Neither white sugar nor honey are vegan.

    Fun Fact: White sugar actually isn't strictly vegan, because bone char is used to refine the sugar.

    • @crankysister
      @crankysister 9 років тому +2

      It depends actually. White cane sugar is often processed with bone char, but white beet sugar is never processed with bone char. They're both sold as white sugar though, and they don't always specify which, so you might have to do your research beforehand if you're very strict (most of the vegans I know aren't this strict, but it's a personal thing). I know Domino sugar is always cane sugar and also processed with bone char, but Pioneer sugar is beet sugar, so it's vegan. But those are just two brands. There are plenty more out there.
