I got myself a NYKO wireless controller back in the days of the Wii U and used that controller so much that I wore out the thumbsticks. I just bought my NYKO controller for the Switch today and started testing it on a couple of games already. Seems responsive enough and is a comfortable hold; very light. Have yet to try out the Turbo feature though. Other than that, as long as I don't wear out the thumbsticks as I did with my Wii U controller, this controller should last me the rest of the Switch's lifetime. Any issues I find I'll be sure to let you guys know. Keep making amazing products, NYKO! *Edit:* Okay, so I've already found one issue with the controller: Whenever I'm doing something in a game that involves Amiibo functionality, if the NYKO Controller is the main controller I'm using, it will tell me to scan the amiibo on the NYKO Controller even though it doesn't come with any form of Amiibo functionality (I tried tapping an Amiibo in a couple locations on the controller to see if it did but nothing happened). I have to go to the controller menu and change the controller order to connect a controller that can scan the Amiibo in order to use it in-game. Other than this one flaw, I'm still enjoying my time using this controller.
Bought this for Switch and it works fine. However, it doesn't seem to work for Android as advertised. It will connect via Bluetooth but once connected it doesn't do anything. Is there a specific way to successfully connect this to Android or are there formware updates for this?

Nyko, why is it there is no firmware update available and my new controller still won’t connect to my switch lite? I just bought it and have tried everything I want to know how to get it working. I have tried connecting it by pressing Y and the home button on the controller. All it does is have the white LEDS move back and fourth. Thanks
Pro tip, the Switch needs to be out of airplane mode for any wireless controller to connect. I spent a good 15 minutes trying to figure out why the sync wouldn't work.
Note to all, this does not work on a Mac. Been trying for a year and with the newer mini wireless core controller. It sort of connects but hangs everything that you try to use it with.

Wireless Core Controller can be synced to another console by going to the Controllers menu from the home screen and selecting Change Grip/Order. Press and hold the "Home" and "Y" buttons on the controller for 3-5 seconds until the LEDs come on, then release the buttons and it should connect shortly after.
@@NykoTechnologies what happens when a trigger button comes off the spring? You can't take it apart and reseat it. Kinda makes no sense building a controller you can't take apart.

Its worked amazing on my Switch! However when trying to connect to my computer, it gets registered as a 360 Xbox controller? Anyone else have this issue? This is my first ever controller and I do not have any programs installed on my PC that might mess with it.
i have has a nyko controller for a while, but after a while it gets really glitchy, my controller does not charge or connect anymore and its only been a year not really an issue tho because the controller is cheaper then most pther ones

I can only charge and play simultaneously when its connected to anything that isnt the switch (but it'll still be in use with the system.) if I have it wired to the switch it'll charge but cannot be used while it charges and I'm not sure why

Hi! Nintendo's 12.0 update added one extra step for initial connection. Please use the included USB-C cable to plug controller into console dock > then connect controller with both bumpers at once (L+R) > wait for a second or two, then unplug the controller > then hold the HOME button on the controller. This should solve this issue. From here on our all you need to do is hold the HOME button to connect.

The Wireless Core Controller doesn't have the ability to power on the Switch or awaken it from sleep mode. You will have to use one of the official Joycons to do it remotely.

With android tv it can work, but you have to try it first. I have separate android TV box, connects witch bluetooth and works well

Marcel Sabwe, I own two of these controllers. They have good rumble and the plastic is pretty high quality. I got the translucent ones.

Hi! Turn off vibration by going to your Switch's system settings > Go to controller vibration > Select OFF . Hope this helps!

@@muhdhafizd5669 After updating you should be able to connect from the controller menu by holding down HOME + Y until lights start blinking, then release and wait for connection
@@NykoTechnologies i followed your directions but the controller just wont connect, the light just keep flickering after pressing Home + Y button and wont pair with my switch lite. Ps really do appreciate you replying tho
@@muhdhafizd5669 Did it say "Update Success"? After that it should connect just fine. If not, you can use the USB-C cable, connect the controller, pair the controller, then disconnect the cable, then hold HOME button and it should pair! The Wireless Core Controller does have a rumble feature, but it's not HD rumble.

I had the same problem, it would connect till I used a different charging cable
Mine isn’t connecting to my switch. I had it for a while now and it always works but now it’s not connecting. I am really disappointed with this controller. I guess I could get rid of it.

is it good for mk 11?
I haven't personally tested it with MK, but it does really well on Smash, Kart, Street Fighter, and Ultimate Alliance!

Works poorly on PC and tends to bug when connecting to switch. Overall quite a bad experience.
