Sensei, and I call you that with respect to your rank and because I truly consider you MY sensei. I have learned so much from you over the years watching your channel. I did judo all through my teens and now I'm almost 25. I lost my passion for judo when I was 20 because I joined the military. I was very competitive and I never felt like my local coaches could teach me the advanced level of judo that I truly wanted to learn. I felt so stagnant and the plateau I hit a few years after earning my Shodan rank made me feel like I should focus more on my military career. It's been 5 long years since I've stepped on the tatami and these "advanced" recent videos you've been posting have lit a huge fire under my ass. You made me realize how much I truly love judo and that it was and is still my biggest passion in life (it has just been in a dormant state for the last 5 years). Now at my age I don't think I'll be able to become a world or national champion like I dreamed of as a kid. However, I would like to get back into it after the pandemic and pass on my knowledge by coaching. I always felt like I had a great vision for beautiful and very detailed judo, I just didn't have someone that could fully enable my own potential. Not to say my senseis/coaches were bad, they actually taught me how to be a champion in LIFE and I am forever grateful and indebted to them. Thank you, Sensei, for all you teach us.
Hello sensei! Thank you for such great videos especially during these hard times where it is difficult. I was wondering if you could show more advice on what to do against left handed fighters and Japanese judokas? Thank you!
We have used this concept from your previous vloggs in our latest vid. Path to Wellington open:fight day. 5.39mins. Can you comment please. Our style is founded of your systems.
Can you cover some "famous" throws? Like Hashimoto's sode? Or Maruyama's Uchi mata? Or ono's spinning uchi mata? Thanks!

Yeah, this is good stuff. Plus there is fear in that single handed control. Brain is like "What are you going to do with that other hand?"
