- We have a very short time to find parts/order parts, take things apart, and put them back together. Will we be able to get it all done before having to leave Thursday night to make it in time for chip draw?!? I have FAITH, do you?!?

Rod bolt failure seemed to escalate when stretch became popular, no one ever measures head or main fastener stretch yet the recommend torque specs seem to work just fine... I will stick to the 3 torque process until I have a failure. Stretch requires you to exceed manufacturers torque specs but you would never do that with any other fastener.

You should get a box of powder tide laundry detergent and cover the floor of your trailer with it .after it sets awhile add some water and start scrubbing with a push broom and then hose it out. If you have a pressure washer to rinse it out even better.. it will be clean afterwards.
BlOCK, I have never seen a block that cannot be welded, the question is if you have a good enough machinist. Just a thought.

update all of the winning cars that were in finals of butt naked were generally billet proline smedium sbc 490ci frank, billet ford sb 427 , billet coyote spears , and 1 other coyote that made it andwhich tells how much high $ it takes to run in the finals, the BBC 509 nissan couldnt make it though and was pushed out by lack of traction but may of been able to keep up if that was remedied, cantu wasnt their either . it tells a story, the LS combos and others of same were gapped and knocked out but if any billet $ big boys made a mistake it would of been an open door of possibility to win.

That's the benefit of being a good human being is that when you're in need people from all over will help you out with anything they can.. it also helps running more common parts and pieces.. did you get the procharger fixed up or are you only going to need the 121 for war in the woods??

That's the main downfall for steel rods, they beat the crap out of an aluminum block when they quit. That's painful to see.
Am I the only one doing the math on replacing rods every 100 passes? Each pass is an 1/8 mile so they’re replacing rods every 12.5 miles. 😳🤯
