I genuinely like this turbo, I am looking for a big turbo upgrade now, I wonder what are some of the follow up mods and upgrades you guys have on this car to achieve that power?
What are your thoughts of modifing and upping power so much on a soon to be high mileage car like this ? Are these mk7s actually reliable ? Im asking genuinely bc this is crazy how well the 2.0 responded to just a turbo and im assuming a new hi/low pump ??
Turbo sweet spot is often overlooked by newbies who have more $ then experience..like he says a balanced response is what u want and you want to look at compressor maps and always leave yourself a little room to grow bc people always want more HP unless your class limited or something but even then you could detune so your running at peak efficiency and keeping charge temps as close to ambient as possible. I would skip the golf R turbo and buy once cry once..
Just bought my MPI and LPFP from you guys today. Can’t wait to go 10s in my A3!
Thank you for the order! Looking forward to working with you on achieving your goals!
Mission Raceway! woot!

Definitely eying this turbo when It comes time to upgrade the turbo!
It’s a great setup on this car with a very wide powerband.
Awesome! 👍
Thank you!
Man, do the heads on the EA888 flow!
Nice work as always Alex, I’m looking forward to seeing your fueling kits.
Thank you Jordie and thanks for the mk8 pcv info. We will get that on here soon as well! The fuel kits are a harness away from being released!
@@stratifiedauto always happy to help.
I saw the focus in the back.. ready to give that things some more love?
They all get love!
Cant wait to go with this setup! What turbo inlet is on this car?
We have an ECS inlet on there and a CTS intake.
What sort of power numbers with the STR71 on 94 pump gas and on E30 blend? When are these turbos going to be released?
They are on our website now. www.stratifiedauto.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=199_362&products_id=1163
With E60 we are in the 530whp range. On pump gas it will be in the low to mid 400s but it will depend on the car setup and quality of the pump fuel.

For 500whp+ you need bolt ons, MPI and LPFP running ethanol.
What is done to the dsg to hold the power?
DSG is stock hardware wise and has our tune.

There are more mods than this in the car but the engines are stout. Iron block helps.
is it possible to get a tune for mk7,5 with vortex xl?
Yes no problem. Here’s the link to the tunes.

This particular turbo definitely hits a sweet spot in terms of response and top end potential.
