The seats are a recurrent theme in the GT reviews. I was told on a Kia GT event last year that the reason why they are manually adjustable is that it allows for a lower seating position and it gives more of a 'car' feeling. The seating position is indeed a bit lower than in lesser variants. Personally I don't think it's a big deal. Great car, great review !

Really excellent reviews! I especially appreciate the sine wave test at 130KM/h, as that shows the difference between cars tuned well vs not.
Can I request you to make a dedicated video comparing all the cars you've tested on the sine wave portion while commenting on the individual characteristics? It will be super interesting to see the ride & handling of all cars from a given segment that you've tested, or even across segments, like SUV vs sedan vs hatchbacks, the effects of adaptive dampers / air suspension on the sine wave etc.

Yeah I loved my recent test drive too. Power is great but smooth and usable even in traffic imo. Also ride was impressive. Just blows away Tesla's in ride quality and interior. Range is bad so not for road trips but for enjoyment I don't think it can be beat right now at least in the EV segment. Colors a limited though and that Silver is only available in the Matt finish so make sure you know what you are getting into with that. The Yacht blue with matt wrapp ppf is absolutely stunning. Thanks for fun review.

Absolutely awesome review thank you! I have the Runway Red EV6 GT and it is an amazing car. Have had a great many performance cars over the years and would now never go back to ICE. The performance and suspension combination of the GT is superb. Initially I thought the non electric adjustment could be an issue, but you get used to the manual adjustment, and guess what it saves weight which equals more performance. KIA have built something special with this vehicle and I am very proud to own one, keep up the great reviews, look forward to seeing one on the Ioniq 5N. 😎

Really great demonstration during the autocross at the end. It really shows an electric motor's instantaneous torque delivery to be able to spin up the inside front in mid-corner.
With an internal combustion engine's fuel rail, throttle body, and piston inertia all contributing to that relatively smooth build in torque when you step on the loud pedal, requesting torque from a petrol engine is basically stretching and flicking a rubber band in comparison. You can stretch and build all the way to redline, but let off and the 'flick' is equally slow to drop off. An electric motor is a light switch in comparison.
Completely different approach to driving. I'd imagine an ICE vs EV drift battle would really show up the differences!

Manual sliding seats are probably for motor racing/Track Days. Could you imagine being a 5’9” driver and having a 6’3” co-driver, waiting for the electric seat to get into position, while in the pits doing a driver change haha. Anyway, just my thoughts lol. But I know that I would be pretty upset losing time as we all know how damn slow electric seats can be.

Very good review, however these EV reviews should also be talking about the car's App and OTA software update capabilities. It's really a major fail that Kia do not provide any EV6s with the App in Australia despite the fact that they are available in other markets! The App provides a host of remote access functions, but most importantly remote control and monitoring during charging, both AC charging and fast charging. Also AFAIK OTA software updates are not possible in Australia and can only be carried out at a Dealer. These factors (and a few others) put me off buying one even though I loved the car.

If you're over 6 feet, you'll find the cabin space is very tight. Especially the driver's side. The roof lining hitting your head is unavoidable. Obviously, the standard sunroof doesn't help the occasion due to eating into head space. Therefore, for hard-core track days, having to use helmets would be very unpleasant or near impossible.

Goes hard but a fairly unpractical car for $100K . How often do you need that acceleration your licence will be in tatters if you drive anything like that with the power on tap . It's a no from me sorry for $100K

@@Tingtong-gg5oe no I got 1.6 diesel mild hybird made in Slovakia. Wow so it's even bigger problem than I thought. Your wrong again with manufacturing the factory could be in Germany but if your going to hire cheap labour plus some ethnicities who are known not t produce the best work eg Mexicans or in the Slovakia plants Romanians or gypsies from lunix 9 then your going to have major problems. Like many other brands are finding out. But Korea knew they had faults and they paid whistle blower 26 mil to shut up so it's there fault also.

Scarily dangerous performance numbers from a family car, being affordable enough to get into the hands of people who can’t handle and don’t need this kind of acceleration in such a heavy vehicle. Limits to EV price to performance need to be put in place asap. Long live the ICE.
