you know you're slightly obsessive about a band when you can tell what era a song was performed from just by the hairstyles of the band. I'm guessing this was around 2000-01.
I remember when this song came out. "I feel my luck could change" was an awesome feeling. I was blown away. Radiohead never dissapoints. "We are standing on the edge......."
one of the best live versions I've heard of this song. He doesn't drag his words like he does in the other ones. Amazing as always.. 1:33 was sick too.
Thom has just got married this weekend so I guess my luck has changed for good:-). And so has his, hopefully! Thom, I love your rare smile and laugh, and I wish you and Dajana a lot of happiness. Maybe from now on you will have more reasons and will smile more often. The video to Daydreaming almost killed me with its atmosphere... atmosphere of ultimate departure from this world. We all want you back to earth and earthy life - you really love Earth, don't you?
@icantreadorwrite Everyone makes mistakes - Thom probably didn't care too much about it and least of all ripped into him. They recovered from it - that's all that matters. God help anyone that joins a band with either of you two Perfect Species that never make mistakes.
man it's wanted and is not a mistake. he plays C on the B chord. but it's totally wanted and you can see that phil follows him in the break. we can discuss if it's nice to hear or not, but that's another matter
@wurble It would be obsessive if you knew the era by the style of their pubic hair. But the hair on their head? Nah boy that ain't obsessive.. Its just a typical hardcore fan..
@11joshman "get over it"? ok... I didn't want to get too deep into this as my first comment was a 'throwaway'. But you seem like the type who hates to be wrong. Try checking related vids from the person who uploaded songs from this BBC seassion. You'll see they also performed 'The National Anthem' and 'Idioteque'. I'm sure you know they never performed these songs in the 97-98 era. That would make this performance post 2000. so... in your words "get over it".
@11joshman well, I'll politely disagree. I'm almost certain this is post 2000. I'm not sure if you're joking or not... but I've never seen Thom Yorke sporting a moustache.
Musically, I think Radiohead beats just about everyone. But lyrically, I always find myself disappointed. Or, maybe it's just confused. And, for those whom this will piss off to no end, it's just an observation. It's not an insult to them or to you, for that matter. So, please try to refrain from the "you're a f#!&ing @sshole!!!" or "you don't know what the f#$% you're talking about" kinds of comments.
That's what I meant. It sounds horrible. And that'ss the best part of the song. Plus I don't think its intended, the drums play that pattern either way so.
Oh my what a glorious voice what a glorious song what a glorious age I am that I was blessed to grow up with these beautiful human beings and artists.
One of the most hauntingly beautiful songs ever....

@JEA21B
He smirks acknowledging the fuck up but he probably let loose on him back stage.
@wurble It would be obsessive if you knew the era by the style of their pubic hair. But the hair on their head? Nah boy that ain't obsessive.. Its just a typical hardcore fan..
