- In your mind, what does inspired math teaching look like? What (exactly) do math teachers who operate from an inspired place do in their craft?
This short video not only explains the hallmarks of inspired teaching, I’ll SHOW you as well. I’m offering you a look behind the curtain for how I develop my materials. You’ll instantly “get” what I’m trying to invoke within the students, which is both effective learning, as well as an inspired emotional state.
This is a sample of the complete online Algebra course that Yay Math offers. To learn more about it, and enroll in just minutes, it’s at:

keep teaching dude! Never lose the magic.
Thanks, Grant.
I wish you were my teacher.
My absolute favorite professor was my introductory algebra professor. I went to her on the first day of class telling her that I had always struggled with math and that I have severe math test anxiety. From then, she ALWAYS took extra time with me to show me that while I may not "get it" the way it was taught, she could show me another way. More often than not, the other way made more sense to me. Long story short, I took extra math classes with her. 1. because being around her made me a better person/student overall and 2. because she made me realize I COULD do math, and I was no longer terrified of a subject that I had always feared and struggled with. BTW 2 math classes were required for my degree.....she rounded me up so I passed the second....I retook it on principle and absolutely passed it. then took two extra, due to reasons 1 and 2 above.
You're the only teacher that's got me watching math videos for fun. Keep it up!
You watch math for fun, I teach math for fun.
If the world had more math teachers like him, I could only imagine how much further society would be! Keep it up, you are really making an impact on the world!!

You are one of the rare math teachers, keep it up and I love your videos 🔥
Hi .. im an upcoming Grade 11 student and your videos are helping me.. thank you .. from the Philippines ♥️
You remind me sir of my Elementary Math Teacher who also teaches like you that makes students alive and smile. Giving reality problems who us students relate and ended up laughing reading the paper because he used our names. Keep it up!
Are u in la? I saw u went to Long Beach. Would love to meet you bro
When someone would ask me what an inspired teacher looks like I would say he looks like you. I learned a lot from your vídeos, because you can imagine which problems a student is likely to encounter and you are always willing to explain if a student doesn't understand.
I just came across an old video of you and then I remembered how much I used your channel to learn and understand math in highschool and university! Man I just want to say thanks, I graduated 2018 and I appreciate you and just want to say that you contributed to an individual who will contribute to better the world.
What an honor, Akil.
I wish every teacher was like you 😔
Man, who would dislike this video? You're awesome. My Host Teacher introduced me to your videos because she would link them to our students.
On point 👌
An inspired teacher is someone who will always find ways to connect to students, that way whatever the teacher says sink deep and on the long run cause them to excel.
The change in tones though... 🤩
YAY! Maths

Yaymath is by far the best creator for math content! I love how he uploads awesome math videos and explains each concept so clearly. I actually created my own channel called Leo Yang to show even more math content!
Yo! Reverend Adoot...your teaching method is weird, but I understand and connect with it. Your tutorial videos are immeasurable resources of information, of which I have rewatched and taken notes accordingly. Thank you
Thanks, Duane
Dude, my high school teacher just played your vids for us.
Wish this guys was my math teacher in high school,

I really likes the way that I teach and I wish that u were my teacher cuz the way that u teach
This is psychologically a complex issue that I registered even within myself. I am a university health science graduate but when I face math even on one of yaymaths video I found myself shutting down, feeling bored and not understanding what was being imparted. My IQ is above average yet I consider myself stupid when faced with or dealing with maths. Whats going on ? People who like math must either genuinely be more intelligent or their brains are" wired" differently ?
Ok well I'm not certain if you mean this or not, and I know I don't know you, and I know this is 2 months late, but no, math students aren't inherently more intelligent than you. Everyone excells in different areas, and under different learning conditions and methods. I'm sure you could learn plenty of math given the right outlet. In case you weren't aware, inevitably many successful math students would struggle in fields of health science, similar to your situation, keep your chin up!
Thankyou so much 🙏
Hello, sir I'm from India... your teaching style is osm... thanks a lot
Thanks 😊👍👍 God bless you 🙏🙏❣️🙏❣️.in arab countries we have a problem here that people support dancer, singers, actors, hollow contents and silly videos.that disappointed me to continue my work in youtube channel MegoMath.
could you start some videos of completing maths as level syllabus
I remember my first day at the university, my math prof said, "if you don't like math, that is your problem, I am here not to make you love math, I am here just to teach it" I never like that prof and I will never get any course with him again.
i wish you can teach us calculus
Hi Robert.
I teach math to h.s. inmates. So no videos or internet allowed. Still I would love to hear what suggestions, or resources you know of to help my students.
Pandemic complicated teaching to a print and exchange paper trail to teach math. Really appreciate your thoughts. Big fan, subscribed, and followed videos for six years.
Email me, my contact is at the bottom of yaymath.org
i think this easy more 17/20* 100
I would laugh at Chris 🤣
If you were my teacher I might have actually liked math...
Wait I thought the camera was about to fall 😂 it was just being passed
