there was indeed an upgrade for carriers on the fleet beacon that eventually got removed. Graviton Catapult made carriers launch interceptors faster. forge upgrades require a twilight council for +2 and +3. cybernetics core upgrades require a fleet beacon for +2 and +3.

I think you're a mad man and could probably win vs 7 people hahaha. Thanks for making the game I loved so much 10 years ago a pleasure again.

Such a laid back episode after the last $100 challenge one. I know this is your winning run so there were probably many un-released recordings prior, but you CRUISED this one so easily it felt like you had 'power overwhelming' toggled on haha. Always satisfying to watch a swarm of interceptors raze 7 AI. Well done on the execution as always, and thanks for another great showing of skill in game and commentary! God bless!!!
I actually used this strategy when I was trying to figure out how to do the 7 Insane AI challenge, but the most I could beat was 5 insane AIs due to lack of skill. I used a few tempests to more efficiently snipe the observers from a distance. Gonna hop back on and try again now that I am inspired
This kind of reminds me of an old WC3 1vX strat where you'd abuse the AI being coded to always repair their buildings, so you can lure out all their peasants/peons and crater their economy
maybe having a couple of templars for storms would also help, and since they use energy you would ideally get unlimited value out of their aoe dmg through the choke point
It would be cool to watch like 1v4 versus insane AIs. but to have the 1 player as an archon mode Terran and to not allow cheesing to win. Perfect marine medivac micro, is it possible?
I like trying stuff right after watching your vids and thinking that they're easy only to realize that they looked easy because you're a pro gm sc2 player. Silly goose.
I like the AI challenges and would love to see you play vs man made AI instead of just the in game AI I know they exist just don’t know how your skill would compare to theirs so you might have to take on multiple.
There is one question that bothers me: Does the fact, that the AI gets more income mean, that they just get more mins and gas with the workers or do they in fact mine more than a geysir or a mineral field is worth (for example there are 1000 gas and they can get out 1400)?
If you play the mod co-op and campaign units, the insane A.i is smart as fuck nd alot of times they match ur build order or at least somewhat reassemble it nd they have micro as well. It's alot harder then normal insane a.i I would love to see him try and 1vs 7 insane a.i on that mod. Nd that mod is so much fun
Recent update changed the mothership so it only cloaks when you use an active ability, which can't be kept enabled indefinitely. Is this challenge sill possible after that update?
I enjoy watching this type of challenge but me, personally, could use less vocal explanation. Maybe others enjoy the constant talking but not me! Love watching you play.

note to myself : mass zealot and colossus isn't very efficient against mothership-carriers
mass zealot is, if you dont control them as ai does...well not to wait until 200/200 of cause.

This is exactly what my build was when playing comp stomps in BW 20 years ago.
This is also possible because the ai doesn't make their own fleet beacons. Tempests would be a real pain to deal with.

They occasionally make a fleet beacon, but will only build like 1-2 carriers/tempests, and usually only in the really late game.

I also had this idea of cannon check points for map control but i havent had time to try this. I actually havent played in months.
I would make 2 pylons and 2 cannons like checkpoints along the paths leaving my base. Works pretty cool when kiting back
