  • In this video I head out to the project lawn to give it a little treatment. The project lawn is the lawn that I had started completely from seed on just soil. I am treating it with Grubex, Insect control and Scotts GreenMax for a feeding. Being that It is what I would consider a newly established lawn I want to keep it protected the best I can. The Grub Ex is a given around this area because Lawns around here have had issues with grubs including my own. The insect killer and preventer are just a little added security against any other insect that may attack this new lawn. In my opinion this really won't be a fully established lawn until at least a year after it was first planted and started and that will be in October. I have too much time and some amount of money invested in it to have something happen to it that could have been prevented with an easy treatment. The ne lawn is really looking good at this point of the season which is the second week of June. It won't be long that we will be getting the real hot weather of the summer and I will keep you posted on the progress through the heat. i hope you enjoy the video.

Nice lawn. As soon as I seen you load that Scott’s spreader in your truck, I knew that I was about to see those infamous “Scott’s Stripes”. I gave up on mine after a year and just got the handheld Wizz spreader. I only have about 4k sqft so it’s not that bad. Great video

Thank You! Those stripes are frustrating. With my lawn they usually go away after putting down the second round of fertilizer in the spring plus I spoon feed and fertilize every two weeks so I think that helps. Also it’s an established lawn . With my son’s lawn they seem to be not going away and I have been spoon feeding jut like I do with my lawn. I think it’s because it’s a new lawn that I havnt been able to get them to go away. Thanks for your comment.
