6:10 You do not cry too easily. You cry when you need to and there's absolutely nothing wrong with crying or showing emotions. Give yourself the grace you'd give a close friend. You deserve that, Julia. Also, I agree with so many others who've posted here - your vlogs are unique and authentic and I love what you share with us. 😊 This has been a really rough period for most of us so you're not alone and kudos on starting therapy! 👏
The cool jazzy music went perfect with this vlog. It was so refreshing to hear you speak honestly about mental health. Speaking out reduces the stigma and helps people to understand its normal and not something to hide or be ashamed of. Your food shots looked so good! The technique of stuffing the cabbage with bacon and cooking in broth was new to me yet looks delicious. Thanks for sharing these tidbits of your life.
Hi Julia! I just would like to say that I love your vlogs! I’ve been watching your vlogs for about a month now, and they bring me great joy! I genuinely get excited every time you post something new! I think the snippets that we see of your life are not only entertaining, but unique, relatable, and personal as well. I dream to live in a big city like NYC one day, and seeing your daily life vlogs inspire me to do that. Also, I want to commend you for going to therapy. I’ve been going to therapy for about 6 months now, and it has made a positive impact on my life. I do understand what you mean about your parents not supporting you going to therapy because of cultural related stigmas. Because my mom feels the same way. But I still went despite her reservations. And I encourage you to continue going and putting in effort in your sessions. Long story short, I love your videos!! You’re amazing and keep shining!! 💕
Hasina, thank you for your kind words! So glad that you’ve been enjoying the videos because I love making them for y’all 😭♥️ also glad to hear that therapy made a positive impact on your life and hopefully I’ll have a similar sentiment towards it as I continue!
We’ve just moved my 91 year old mother-in-law and oh my goodness, moving is HARD. I hope therapy helps keep the stress at bay, and that it all goes smoothly over the coming months.
new sub and omg I'm in love with you already 💖I feel like everyone who lives in nyc all vlog about the same thing (which is expected) but there's something so soothing, personal, and real about ur content. can't wait for more & to see where you move to next !!
Hi Julia, i am a Singaporean viewer here. Really love your vlogs. Your lifestyle is something i can relate to. I am also in my 20s, working an office job :) Your vlogs give us overseas viewers an insight on life in NYC.
So glad to see you helping to remove any negative stigmas about mental health therapy. I’m glad you are taking this first step to help you in your life. I hope you find it helpful 🙂
the minute I clicked on your vlog I was blown away. wow. thanks for sharing this video. I've been ambivalent lately. I'm also vlogging about life in my 20s, but it's provoking me to process a lottt of things... I need to find a therapist asapppp
Having moved internationally twice, across nation, 500 miles and 20 blocks away...the longer the distance, the lesser the stress! I describe the inside the city move as the one where "you end up with numerous car trips. The final one to your new home features you in passenger seat holding onto the butter dish". Seriously, its ok Julia to get anxious over moving. Its a hassle. It would be weird if you werent nervous about it. My mom used to say we should take a short overnight trip about a month after moving..so that when you open door to new apartment you say, "oh its good to be home!" Then your brain/body responds with this sense of comfort, feeling of homecoming, gratitude. It works! I am so excited to see your new place, already know you will get one with more natural light.
Wow I love the advice of going on a trip after a move! I will definitely have to do that once I find a place and settle in ✨ thank you for your sweet comment, I appreciate it so so much 💗
Your therapist has a calm soothing voice. Aside of the insight therapists give, their approach definitely helps. I really enjoyed your vlog as always 😊
What can I say other than: another well done vlog!! As many have said on here, give yourself the grace you would to your closest loved ones. You’ve achieved so much for yourself and given so many of your viewers (including myself!) the motivation and courage to pursue what we want in life. I hope you’re having an easier time riding the wave of a challenging period. Sometimes, reminding myself that it’s a temporary state helps with the anxiety and so I hope this helps you too 💜💜
honestly relate to the whole stigma towards mental health stuff, it's like that with african families as well 😭 at least mine. when i started therapy for depression in high school my mom was so unsupportive. eventually i stopped at the start of the pandemic, but now that i'm almost an adult i'm definitely gonna try looking for a therapist again (and i'll try not to care about others opinions as well haha). sorry if im oversharing 😅 always love seeing ppl take care of their mental health. and i hope things get better for you and more balanced out in terms of work, social life, and youtube. and honestly it's so normal to cry during therapy, it's ok! ❤️
Has that elegant sophisticated NYC feel, especially with the jazzy piano. Nothing like NYC, you really capture it well and know how to live there to the fullest. A vicarious treat for me. Yes I know apartment hunting is daunting, but you'll be in such a better "place". Regarding therapy, life can get overwhelming, it has a way of catching up with us and we need support from a neutral professional. Anyone who says they don't need help or just overburden their friends/ family is niot a good example in my opinion.
Thanks for sharing this Julia. I love when we try to normalise the bad days too. Sometimes it can seem as if everyone else's life is perfect and even though we know that isn't the case it is great to see and hear about the tough days as well as the good ones. You seem to have a great network of friends and family to support you though those days, as I do, and I know how lucky I am to have that. Great video- as always!!!!!😀😀😀
I am an avid #MentalHealthAwareness advocate and spoken word performer, and I love this so much. I travel the country trying to bring that awareness on stages, in classrooms, hospitals, and on my UA-cam channel, so I get excited when I see other advocates. 💙❤
hi julia i've been watching ur videos to improve my English lately and i've learnt so much more than language things. I'm at my 20s too and have been struggling with depression and anxiety for a while, but watching ur video truly inspires me a lot. You've been doing so well and I appreciate ur attitudes towards life. I hope everything goes well with you. Btw im surprised when i heard “给你” in the video XD
thank you for watching! Just knowing that I can be the tiniest bit of help in anyway to you truly warms my heart ♥️ (I commute in Chinese to my boyfriend sometimes hehe)
I have just subscribed to your channel & had been watching non-stop while going thru your past videos. Anyway I feel that I can relate to you as we both are more or less the same when it comes to personal space, daily struggle with work & yeah some mental rollercoaster in between. But one thing I envy about you is you have such a supportive boyfriend which had been with you thru thick & thin...what can I say, he is definitely one in a million...which suddenly reminds me of my fave song "One In A Million" by Bosson 😄
I'm new to this channel and it's like my relax feel-good go-to when I want to put on a video. 💕 Also, can Julia or someone pls tell me where I can find her pink headband? Every time I see it I just need it. It looks like a little sea queen crown
one of my favorite videos so far! Your vlogs are so relaxing and different. Also, I cry easily a bit myself so you fine. It's nice you show us not just your good days, but sometime you have your bad days too.
Hi Julia I just noticed that ur window Infront of ur bed has no curtain. Do u get irritated in the morning with the sun blazing in ur face forcing u to wake up?
For those struggling with anxiety, try intermittent fasting. It increases the BDNF in the hippopotamus. It also helps sleep and lowers depression. Also, Jesus Christ is ultimately our Savior from all sin and death.

Thank you for the constant support, it means so much to me! ♥️
Therapy works 😌 Therapy saves. Therapy calms and reassures. Crying is a sign of strength.
The video is so cut💓✨+ I liked the dress on you so much 🖤😍
ahh thank you hope you enjoyed 🥰✨

Haha yes definitely what I expected a therapist to sound like tbh ☺️ thanks for tuning in!

Hi Julia I just noticed that ur window Infront of ur bed has no curtain. Do u get irritated in the morning with the sun blazing in ur face forcing u to wake up?
I actually love waking up to natural sunlight! That’s why I love east facing windows and intentionally didn’t place curtains on that one hehe 🌞
Great
Wow
I feel for you. I’d rather have dental surgery than pack and move.
Loll 😂 I think I had enough surgery this year but definitely am dreading this move so much 😭
