My interpretation of the MV (lore wise): Brimstone: The limbo Brimstone is in, is in his mind. The broken bands around him is like his mental state. He’s a battle-hardened veteran which explains this. The globe he’s holding symbolizes the responsibility he holds. Him being the leader only adds more responsibility because he’ll feel guilty if someone dies. You see him struggle because he never accepts help from allies because he doesn’t want them to feel guilt when someone dies. At first he doesn’t accept help from the player when she holds out her hand and he crumbles under the responsibility. After he accepts the help and he gets to a green part of the limbo because he feels relaxed and finally has peace. Phoenix: Phoenix is reckless and arrogant and often charges in without a plan (this is shown in voicelines and previous cinematics). You see him in his limbo experimenting with his abilities. But eventually his recklessness and arrogance catches up and swallows him. After he is shown meditating and passes the orb (which I interperate as his persona) to the player. After he becomes less arrogant and uses teamwork. Sage: She’s on an island held by the player. You see the plants around her start to die but when she tries to revive them she fails. (Another note, the color of the flower when it’s dying is similar to the color palette of Omen. Theories show that’s it’s extremely likely that Sage failed to revive Omen fully when they both worked for Kingdom and an experiment went wrong. Viper blames Sage for what happened to Omen). The problem she faces is that wants to protect everyone but she cannot and she blames herself for that. Brimstone: His problem is that he holds to much responsibility and normally hides it to prevent teammates from having to worry about him. Phoenix: His problem is that he’s to arrogant and reckless and charges in without a plan. Sage: Her problem is that she’s trapped by her fear of failing others Continuing the fight scene you see Sage take charge and heals Brimstone from the wound he was hiding from earlier, which makes sense for him to hide. Phoenix after getting revived (from his ult) he throws up a flame wall for cover and throws the defuser to Sage. This video overall symbolizes that you have to learn how to overcome your weaknesses and to lift others up when they’re down and need help even when they don’t ask for it.
Regarding phoenix yes he is reckless but the scene in his limbo actually about his fear he believes himself to be cursed and fears his own abilities, not being able to control them to be precise, the part where the screaming phoenix rushing at him shows his fear of being consumed by his own power
There is also the voiceline of Reina to Sage asking her is she know where the life is taken from that she gives. I think it's a reference that although Sage wants to help everyone it's important to know that even she has her own boundaries and that she's given her life to save everyone else.
Man I'm really interested in Valorant lore, is there anything like a story besides the animations I can read? Or did you gain your knowledge out of the voicelines? If its only the voicelines, can u recommend a video about them being put in the lore context?
This song is honestly so sick, I've been listening to it on repeat on Spotify since it came out, I think it will be in my Spotify Wrapped next year. And I love how they incorporated the song's instrumental & the scene of Brimstone holding the world into one of the finishers in the game for the Champions vandal
@@Ero_no_Kami yeah, I think they put too many conditions onto being able to view the finisher (having to let enemy plant, get the last kill, stand in the circle, be outside). But it really does look sick when it happens.
That black sphere is literally the weight of the world on Brimstone's shoulders, because he is the team leader and he feels responsible for every past and future death in the squad. And two have already happened, as only 3 characters are on his team and VALORANT is 5v5
the new people in the MV are players of their agents Brimstone : so in the MV we saw he holding the world referencing to atlas the giant holding the world. we know brimstone is the founder of valorant protocol (a protocol made for protecting the earth) so exactly he had so many responsibilities bc he is the leader, so he is worrying about if the earth fallen, it was his fault. bc of that he putting too much pressure on him and dont listen to others and try to protect the protocol by on his own. so he didnt accept help from his player. he falls down and in the end he accepts his player. (edited) Phoenix : in phoenix's part we can see he getting swallowed by his own rage. that means, when he studied in london college, he had a traumatizing past and he is angry about it. after getting his powers, his release anger from his powers (thats why he burned his college). so phoenix try his best to control his emotions (bc he is scared he will made a tragedy like in school again, so thats why in MV he gives the glowing object to his player. he is asking for help. (edited) Sage : in her scene we can see she in a world full of life and it starts to dying. and sage tries to fix it from her powers, but she fails and trapped in a crystal. she thinks she can fix everything but it's against the natural balance. thats why omen says, her abilities are against the natural balance. and also viper rejects her offer. so the music video bascially is, showing the fears and flaws of feautured agents, and they looking for help from their players (explained by cynprel)
One thing that I also love of that musical video is that, when I play Valorant, I always listen to it because it like, gives me motivation, I mean real motivation and not a fake one from these motivation videos that there are in UA-cam, it's like, if the song inspires me to do my best on a match from the game, ir may sound silly what I said but, the song is pretty dope not gonna lie.
BEST REACTION EVER I'D SAY. the way u didn't pause throughout the video, reacted to both beat and animation is honestly so satisfying for viewers like me
Just makes you realise dosent matter from which nation or which race or which game you are from These kinda things just make people Come together and just feel being part of something Everyone in gaming community is kinda awesome in their own way
All three of the player+agent scenes seem to be the player's mindsets helping or being reflected by the interaction with the agent. (At least, in my opinion.) So: Brimstone's scene is barren. He's on edge at the start, ready to shoot at anything that comes near, but the player is calm throughout the whole section. She offers him a hand, but he doesn't get the chance to take it. The sphere is a world of responsibilities and he is Atlas, trying to shoulder it alone. The player offers her hand to him again and he reaches to take it, crumbling under the pressure in the process. But despite this apparent failure, the end result is a stable orbit of smaller, more manageable pieces - like breaking up responsibilities into easier tasks that others can help with. (The shards are pieces of the giant Brimstone that crumbled. It's the debris left from the collapse.) We see this shift in responsibility reflected when we return to the "present", as Brimstone is letting his team take on important roles instead of trying to do everything himself. He doesn't need to be the solo carry for once. Pheonix's part is very... him, through most of it. Arrogant, center of attention, testing the limits with the orb the player on the other side has given him. Yet the powers nearly consume him (as seen with the giant fire clone). That's when he gives the orb back, giving the power over to player/others. Letting others "take the spotlight", so to speak, instead of always chasing the limelight. The two are reflections of each other here because they are probably similar in behavior and the whole scene is a learning moment for both of them. When we go back to the "present", Pheonix hands over the diffuser to let someone else do the important job. He and the player are giving the power to someone else and being okay with not being the most important person. "Sacrifice isn't really [Pheonix's] thing", as we see in the Warm Up cinematic, so it's a big deal when he hands over control to others. Sage's section, with the plants, is like the plants are festering as they deteriorate. Although they appear to be florishing at first, they collapse into toxic purple hues that Sage fails to save or maintain. Whatever was there was not actually healthy and was unable to be salvaged. It's also about freezing up when things aren't going well and breaking past that - The island she holds with the player on it is regrowing, so it's like regaining confidence or building a new foundation. That scene is also a little bit of an opposite compared to the other two, as the player starts more in control and then ends with the agent in control instead. So when Sage is holding the island/player, it's like the player is putting themselves in the agent's hands and that is helping them to florish. In the "present", Sage takes charge, which as a healer isn't the norm and not usually advised. She doesn't freeze up, and instead she acts. She is handed the diffuser and is allowed to take the spotlight for a moment instead of play as a support in the background. I... honestly adore this cinematic. The music is good, the visuals are good, the whole thing is surprisingly cohesive with or without game knowledge. Solid all around, just like all Riot animations.
hey chris! Just popping in your newest video to try and let you know that we're all patiently waiting for you to react to the new sick valorant cinematic! It's called Warm Up, and it's the new animation style that we all know and love!
i like this! imo on scene that you lost it, i think sage was afraid of being late or fail to heal/revive and being freezed by enemy's sage and the person that in contact/reflected with each character was the player behind its character, like each player got motivated or awaken by their own roles and responsibilities on that team brim with the weight on his shoulder as a captain, phoenix with his wild fire abilities, sage with her rapid response responsibility for healing/revive
Awesome work and enthusiasm as always. Really enjoy your contents, can't wait for Arcane reaction. My inner sadist wants the world to burn and crash watching the 3rd episode of act 1 :D
This song was a banger. Lore wise this fits as well like when brimstone was holding up that Boulder represented that basically the fate of the world is on his shoulders as he is the leader of the Valorant protocol. Fun fact: Did u know that this song was made to introduce probably the biggest tournament Valorant has created?
I believe through my limit knowledge of the valorant lore. The first scene with the red limbo with Brimstone is like a flashback (sort off) he saw Phoenix in danger and he is afraid that something bad might happen, I believe he was a soldier who lost comrade in battle. The scene with Phoenix I'm slightly at a lost aswell. But from what the visual story telling it's seem Phoenix is very powerful, and he his reckless jumping headfirst into battle. It seem to show Phoenix being overwhelmed by his power (the scene with the flaming version of himself screaming). And the last scenes it show Sage using her powers (she's a healer) and she couldn't saved the plant as shown in the visual. She is then sealed in ice, frozen and she broke out through force of will showing that she won't stand idle in the face of death. That is why in the final scene we saw Brimstone froze up when he saw Phoenix got shot, Sage put her hand on his shoulder as though saying "don't worry" as she run toward the fight. Phoenix returned saving Sage because he perseverance through and decided to let other take the lead by throwing the defuser to sage. I really love this videos thank you aswell.
Brimstone has the whole weight of the world on his shoulders cause he is the leader. He is literally depicted as the greek myth Atlas but with Akira vibes. Its so good. Phoenix fears that he will be consumed by fire and Sage is scared to not be able to heal and turn into ice (she uses ice as ability). Its all their fears flashing before their eyes
I really hope the valorant team will produce more music in the future like in lol, cause even though it's a great song, it was a bit overused in the championship imo. Great reaction to end the year
One day, one day I will stand at the mountain top and witness You react to the Warframe Prime Trailers specifically Valkyr, Banshee, and Nekros. One day
There is btw a animated Chamber Agent Trailer on Valorants UA-cam Channel you can react to. Funny to see, that you are more interested to the Music then to the Animation xD.
i like to think that the player's are helping the characters in some why, in the first one, i like to think that the giant sphere is the The weight of being a leader and the Cracks that Break throw him is the regrets that comes with it. in the second one the orb is hi his bravery, passing it to him to show what he can do with it, but braver can even look like reckless Fury if you don't balance it, at time you just have to Focus. the Third is the presser of not Succeeding, as her little world is Consumed by rot. she trays to heal it but fails and that failure Consumes her, but she brock throw it, she now knows she is not alone. that's what i think anyways. I do love abstract. xD
I'm kinda late watching this lol But just my opinion of each characters here: BRIMSTONE We all know Brim had lost an ally/friend before basing from one of his player cards where he was carrying a body. So when Phoenix charged, Brim was out of focus at that point since he was wounded that it might have slipped his mind about his ULT and his fear and pressure of losing a comrade took over. Then we see the part where the 'Player/Us' is reaching out to Brim which we can interpret as "Share it with me." Then the big black globe or something fell on Brim which can symbolize the pressure he's been carrying on his shoulders all this time. So when he finally reached back to us, the red that could represent his negative emotions became blue which could imply that for once, Brim felt relieved of the pressure or st least feel at peace. PHOENIX Phoenix had a history of burning his college because his power went out of control when he couldn't contain his emotions. His point of view here shows his fear of being eaten by his own anger and powers which is why we see the flame version of Phoenix opening it's mouth like it's going to bite him. He acknowledges this fear so when the scene where Phoenix and 'Player/Us' was shown, he passed the orb to us. Which could mean "You're in control now." SAGE Like Brimstone, Sage is afraid of failing like she once did when she tried to revive omen. She fears that she might not make it in time to help the other and isn't very confident to lead as Brim's second in command. The flower wilting could represent omen (color wise). All this time, we've been taking the lead on her behalf so when she realizes she can do more and she's strong enough, 'Player/Us' finally switch places with her and now She's in control and taking the lead as shown on the next clip where she heals Brim and charges. Basically this song was to showcase their fears lorewise and how they overcame those fears.
Happy new year guys! Thank you for being awesome!

I’m guessing with the sage part, she’s a healer that couldn’t heal the plant so she felt trapped in the ice

Then we see the part where the 'Player/Us' is reaching out to Brim which we can interpret as
"Share it with me."
Then the big black globe or something fell on Brim which can symbolize the pressure he's been carrying on his shoulders all this time. So when he finally reached back to us, the red that could represent his negative emotions became blue which could imply that for once, Brim felt relieved of the pressure or st least feel at peace.
PHOENIX
Phoenix had a history of burning his college because his power went out of control when he couldn't contain his emotions. His point of view here shows his fear of being eaten by his own anger and powers which is why we see the flame version of Phoenix opening it's mouth like it's going to bite him. He acknowledges this fear so when the scene where Phoenix and 'Player/Us' was shown, he passed the orb to us. Which could mean
"You're in control now."
SAGE
Like Brimstone, Sage is afraid of failing like she once did when she tried to revive omen.
