Hey guys, how's it going? Chris Connor here and welcome to another episode of filmmaker reacts for my channel. Seat back, relax and lets study the filmmaking techniques as well as talk about what visual effects can be pulled of within after effects! his week we are taking a look at valorant episode 6 revelations cinematic trailer!

Actuallly this video is a story too. It's character development, and it's showing us the mission that Sky, Astra and Harbor took to the Lost City, which is also the new map. In Alpha Earth, that place doesn't exist anymore, so Brimstone is scared that if Omega use that portal to Alpha, something really bad happends. Also, we can see that the mystery of Agent 08 is not the same on both Earths; he might not even exist yet on Omega (we can see it on the locker next to Sage's). So maybe Riot is exploring that soon, i hope.
I'm sorry but I'm not that in-depth in the lore... So can you explain who's Agent-08???
@NCore Firstly, we need to understand that Valorant Protocol is the group of agents from Alpha Earth, and the Valorant Legion is from Omega. Then we know we have only 20 agents in the game, but 21 listed by number representing the chronological order they joined the Valorant Org. But when u check the list, it skips from 7 to 9. It is a mystery that Riot has been slowly showing to us, with not much information. We all see his locker scrapped in Warm Up cinematic, so or is he dead, or did not leave the group on friendly terms. There are rumors that he's supposed to have an ability that will be needed to perform some mission by the Protocol, and Sage will try to revive him on Mirror Earth. On the new cinematic tho, us knowing it's going on Omega, Agent 8's locker doesn't even exist. So he's not fighting for Legion yet, or he never did? If they keep showing us lockers, they might be developing more lore of him, and I think he will be the greatest enemy of the story.
that’s not really huge a story or a plot, just details that connect it to other things, live marvel cameos and easter eggs
@@NCore_._ thats one thing we dont know,you might notice some stuff like harbour being agent 22 even though hes the 20th agent which is because of the agent 8 Mystery i recommend sir jeppy for more in depth lore
@lil wintery no one said it is a story. We were talking about character development, and that leads to a mystery agent that Riot is probably working on later in the lore. Kingdom is not much of an enemy in the current lore, Reyna is under control and Omega is a way to explain why we have 2 of the same agents in the game. But Riot is bigger than that and will probably create a bigger threat.

2) this is the very first time we see omen in the animation and he already is the most badass in the entire video

I was waiting for the moment Omen was gonna make it into one of these cinematics, and I gotta say it did not disappoint! My favorite shot was when he walked in and generated his smoke orb thing, it was SO COOL
the cinematography really gave me chills, especially in omen's entry. ten outta ten for me
omen entry was the killing part of this cinematic
Fun facts : if you pause the video when sage takes her gun you can see in her locker said "i am not just your healer!"
it sucks that riot is making her just that
@@dooda9566 I mean not really? It’s the team (players in your game) that makes her just a healer. Not riot. She isn’t the only character that can heal either.

A cool little touch I like in the cinimatic is the nod to a tech fade used to be able to do called bungees which were thrown on high points that would cause enemies caught by it to be launched into the air similar to this animation
Yeah i was surprised when it started flooding their mouths though lmao, i was expecting them to spring up to the celing or something

Love the story telling aspect of how omen senses immediately when sage is healing. Like the voice line where he asks sage if she knows where the life she gives is taken from.

11:05 that animation cutting part is really interesting, I remember animating a gunshot back then and removing a couple frames and it ends up looking better. But I still wonder how it would look on a sword slice
maybe removing frames of when the sword is going forward to hit?

in a nutshell, valo lore. for anyone whos confused.
two mirror Earths - Alpha Earth ("good guys" are from her, so they're defenders) and Omega Earth (attackers).
Agents from Omega are lacking Radiant for their resourses, so they came into Alpha to steal it from them by initiating spikes.
On every map attackers are from Omega, but on Pearl and Lotus they're defenders bc its happening on their Earth.
In this cinematic riot choose to show us Omega's agents daily normal life (doing job, meeting friends, eating, training) and that they're stealing not just out of spite.
also in Alpha Eaeth Valorant Protocol is a secret agency but in Omega Valorant Legion publicly known heroes and they made it into comics (thats why theres merch for agents in Pearl)
There's a lot of lore for characters themselves like past relationships, friendships, works etc. but that the main story behind it.
We don't know who the good guys yet

I still think that Omega Earth is in the wrong for how they've gone about doing things. Instead of trying to reach out to Alpha Earth and ask for help, they show up and use violence, killing people and destroying cities in the process just to steal radianite. Then they use propaganda to tell their citizens that Alpha is somehow evil for defending themselves against what they rightly see as a threat.
For the Astra and Harbor lore segment, you can watch sirjeppy's youtube channel. He makes lore videos on the game whenever the devs drop new info.
Omen feels like he is the MC of the game

Harbour and astra are from vp(valorant protocol) lives in alpha which is our world and there's a mirror world called omega who has the same people from our world
Harbour and astra are going to a "flower"(which is the new map) because harbour gauntlet and astra gauntlet and yoru mask is made by the guardian and harbour gauntlet is the key to open the new map but sadly the new map In alpha got destroyed that's why they teleported to go through omega to find the new map they thought VL (valorant legion)

The animation as always is so good, but I didnt like the direction they take this time. I wish they added some dialog atleast. They literally did a Music video to the new episode
Also they DIDNT ADD SKYE TO THE CINEMATIC, she was in an official audio with Harbor and Astra and they didnt put her in the video 😭
It's basically character building for the omega agents. Kinda makes them harder to hate XD. I mean, they're actually friends instead of just this group of dangerous people out for alpha Earth. Mixed feelings from this one
they didnt showed Skye bc she stayed behind to fight with bad guys and said to Astra and Harbor keep going without her
Haiiiiaaaaa..... Skye has official audio and linked to the plot doesn't mean they have to show her in the music too. There must be reason they didn't want to reveal what she is up to in the mission with harbor n astra. Also she is keeping an eye to both of them which is kinda stay low act, like the behind of the scene (which may reveal later) . But we know kingdom is not acting as a main threat right now. Its a good thing how they are revealing many stories by the episodes. Its a good direction from a game developer and teams. We have to wait for more till then all we can do is play valorant and enjoy.✌️🕊️

Unpopular opinion overwatch animated cinematically are better than valorant but valorant’s are cooler and overwatch makes me break down crying
