Agree with what you say pal, as I've said before watching your story of getting up and telling yourself to do it with wild camping inspired me to eventually set up my channel a few weeks ago. But I agree that you can get buried in analytics, watch numbers and subs. I've been yhe same this past few weeks, for a new channel I'm pretty happy with my watch numbers but not bringing in subs can be deflating.
I think everyone is different. Some people are happy with the safety of a pay check at the end of the month. That person used to be me. That life gave me a home, food on the table and friendships at work. But something was always missing. The freedom to choose my own path and adventures. At the moment I’m working harder than I ever have before but I’m so much happier. All that work is 100% down to me and Jo. Nobody gives us direction or deadlines to meet. We are only here for a short time on this earth so I believe it’s important to get the most out of that time and be happy. But one man’s happiness is another’s nightmare. So we all have different ways to happiness. Keep going mate.

so ill give u a little teaser ya know Blot outdoors he still uses his mobile phone, the studio eqquipiment ya dont need as you can easily use the outdoors as the studio, dont need all the fancy equipment aas long as the footage looks clean and not over/under exposed and aaudio isnt choppy or tinny are blown then ya winning with the vids :) ive seen people stil now making potatoe looking quality and getting more views than me and it gets dishearting but you just plow through :)
@tomsco7 there's many benefits to doing youtube full time some being.time your own schedule.no management.confidence.creativity.but again there is also loneliness
you got more than me mate 46 subscribers youtube and just got 450 folowers on tiktok what you like to do and make a living is great we dont need much just inough its so much harder for guys on all platforms you see in the paper i make £2000 a week on selling my x on only f%ns but normal everyday men cant do that why do i follow you ? because you are like every guy we were before youtube or the internet you relate all the best and will keep comenting tc

@@JoshTyldesley silly question could you some time show the secrets of outdoor filming you see my vids are just events i go to but some tips on using the camera the wwalking away do you walk or rush back to pick it up ok crazy i know but im intrested in how you make them thanks
@@Paul-hl4cj ha, thats easy just place it down walk in trhe shot then walk/run back to it stop the recording then on the next one in the sequence :) then film abit of the area with you init, ,few on screen speeches then edit it all together to make ya peice :) the longer multi day hikes are a bit more tricky if you havent got the batteriers are memeory card space, that is something to think about (i did the west highland way and filmed about 10 hours of footage and sived thought it to make roughly 1hr 20 mins of footage (roughly). hope that helps :)
@@Airlessmean yeh multi cameras like a canon and tow phones lol on a weekend out bth my wife has now subscribed not that one person helps lol but will try do better on out whitby trip
@@Paul-hl4cj oh i only use the go pro hero 11 :) and 4 batteries and 128gb X2 to get multiday hikes footage if im at a campsite or somewhere to charge up ill try transfer the footage to go pro premuim service so the footage wont be lost either :) im hoping to do the cumbria way next few weeks though :) should be fun

I think anybody can do YT especially if its just for fun - when it comes to doing YT for a job though… seems rough
