    Brother, from the USA thank you so much. This made my battery swap as smooth and painless as it possibly could have been.

    This is a well-put-together video on the subject, however, the negative battery terminal cable should _always_ be removed first to avoid the risk of electrical shorts.

      Hi Dharmesh, unfortunately no way to disconnect the positive terminal without opening the side panel.

      Have you added any accessories?
      If you’re keeping it idle for more than a week, please disconnect the positive terminal.

    Just curious, what is the idel voltage post charging? Like 12V or 13.5V

    • @GaneshBalan
      @GaneshBalan  7 місяців тому +1

      Typically between 12.6 to 13V. As the days go by, the voltage gradually keeps reducing by 0.05V.

    Man , mine on the left side I cant use 5 mm allen key as the hex screw is even smaller (probably a 3 mm allen key will fit ) and RE has only provided 5 mm allen key 🥴

    • @GaneshBalan
      @GaneshBalan  Місяць тому

      Shucks. Anyways, best to keep one Allen key set from Taparia handy.

    Never thought of charging the battery at home, what charger do you recommend?

    • @GaneshBalan
      @GaneshBalan  3 місяці тому +2

      Hi, just that some owners don’t have the provision for connecting the charger where they park their rides so we carry the battery home and charge it there instead.
      As for chargers, you’ll see many Chinese chargers like the one on this video. Works just fine. If you’re looking for a better one, Bosch has chargers. They have one which has both 12V for cars and bikes and 24V meant for trucks.

    Is your battery still working fine after 8 months?

    • @GaneshBalan
      @GaneshBalan  Місяць тому +1

      Hi, this Interceptor 650 belongs to a friend. He says there’s a battery drainage issue possibly due to the always headlight on feature.
      If the bike isn’t used for over a week, he’ll have to charge the battery.

    Strange, that RE uses different bolts for fastening the box. They could have used the M6 cap head screws for all fasteners to give it an upmarket look.

    • @GaneshBalan
      @GaneshBalan  10 місяців тому +1

      Hi Sudarshan, that’s true. They could have used a single type across the board but I’ve seen that it is mostly a combination of the normal hex head bolts and the hex socket screw.

      I have an int 650 and it’s been around a year since i purchased it from re but its self doesn’t start sometimes after not using it for 4-5 days. Is it normal with int battery? as i have replaced it with new one recently but after few months it’s happening again 😕
