    English speaking people can't understand how big TaToH is for us Hispanics. Most of the competitive players in our community, we owe our level to TaToH. He taught us how to play this, most of us started with his series “From Zero to 2000”. He is our teacher and a guy who is a better person than a player, being one of the best players ever. A guy who is always willing to help the community, who signs up for his minor tournaments, who creates new ways to learn and teach, all to raise the level of our community.
    For us, our GOAT, forever. ¡Te amamos, Tatitoh!

      The same for us frenchies with Sitaux. The local content creators are stepping stones to such a deep game, because before making the effort to go for english, it's simpler to go for your own language.

    The best thing about the competitive scene in our beloved game is, IMHO, the amazing camradery and great sportsmanship between opponents.
    I'm always moved when I see how hard TheViper, DauT, TaToH & Jordan support each other. Their friendship is so true and deep and ALL of them are fantastic people. Nice, funny, smart, entertaining and loyal.
    When you watch them, it feels like you're there, as one of them almost. And that's why I'll always be a fan of them. TheViper is the man who pushed AoE2 to extreme heights and popularized so many good strats & moves, while being a great entertainer. DauT is the most hilarious man I've ever seen, full of banter but also the most huggable teddybear. Jordan is kindness personified - the friend all of us wished we had. And Tati... Tati is all of that combined!
    I'd post a DoritosChip in his honour, but this isn't Twitch, so here's the second best thing. 🌮🌮

    well when i think of cursed to be second i have liereyy in my mind. He won 2 red bulls and KotD 3, but 3 times 2nd in red bull, 2nd in NaC4, 2nd in HC V, 2nd in the Grand Melee and probably some other second places that dont come to mind now. No matter what Red Bull 6 was great Triumph of Tatoh and established him as a part of the top 5, if not top 3 in AoE2.

    Fantastic video, very well narrated and put together, my congratulations. I'm really happy for TaToH that he finally got his more than deserved big title. It has helped many of us to get more interested in the game and to improve, hopefully he can repeat the success in the future!

    The title of this vid hits different being a tatoh fan since joining the scene in 2017.
    The bitter sweetness of him winning the “who is number 2” tournament partially because MBL mispicked his civs in the finals.
    I’m hoping it’s Tati’s tourney

    i believe in a future where Finals, are played best of 8 or 10. and then if it's even/draw. The Prize will be split. ;) and then next tourney will be next tourney.
    We should lose the concept of "winning", "lossing". and try something like that.

      The problem is that at the high level of Age of Empires (and of almost all competitions, really), everything tends to be a draw. If that were the case, almost every tournament would end in a draw.

      But even in the same tournament you can see that the other sets are usually 2-1, 4-3, 3-2.... Think that the draft and picking maps and civ system tends to level the level: I am more likely to beat a better player if he is my home map and is one of my first picks in the draft. Everything is designed to last the maximum number of games and have a final game (for example, the loser always picks HM).

    • @SCCH286
      @SCCH286 2 місяці тому

      @@kudoushinichi1412 The competitive scene is certainly very close if you remove Hera. But aoe is not a game that tends to a draw at the highest level, like chess is. In perfect play aoe (some superhuman hypothetical play) the smallest of advantages will snowball into a win later.
      I also don't particularly like the proposal to let the matches be a draw, but there's nothing in the game that says that every match will tend to be a draw. And even if 50% of the matches ended in draws you could still decide a winner (in a swiss system for example).
