    Rob, what a job, at the end of the day, and this is aimed at the haters, you do it the way you want, and if they think they can do better, buy a camera, film it and show us you know better, and then we'll take the piss out of your work, keep up the great work Brother. 🇬🇧

    That International without that with the trailer on the bad, the camper looks really good. Looks like it was just made for that

    Rob, u had me at the seat of my pants watching u drive both trucks onto the trailer without anybody helping you to load them. I had seen many tanks/excavators slide-off of them..
    good job setting-up ur solar panels on top.. till next time Rob..

    No matter what is built or who builds it there's always going to be people in the comment section that no more than the Builder or so they think. This truck build is probably the most original idea I've seen in a UA-cam video series in a long time. There's way too many will it runs and of course it'll run if it's got compression spark and fuel and there's too much patina but that's just my opinion build this thing for you and what you want don't worry about these people and their idea of the way the build should go I think it looks good man and it's working out perfectly. Take it from somebody that builds camper trailers nothing you can buy on an RV lot will be as strong as your truck and trailer combination

      I really, really appreciate that- I think folks forget that we’re all still people out doing our thing, and they’re quick to comnent in ways they’d never do to someone in person. I may make mistakes and have to compromise for budget, but it’s exactly what you said- it’ll be exactly what my wife and I want for many years to come.
      Thanks for watching and being a decent human!

    This is great keep it up brother I have been trucking 48 years that is the first international that size I have seen with a 238 Detroit that is so neat

      It’s one of the only Loadstars with a 238, possibly the only one. The bigger fleetstars had them

    I took my centramatic balancers off because of the noise they made at the lower speeds. I can hear them in the part of the video when you are loading the F-450

    I have to admit, Rob, that I did think your truck frame was too short watching the video when you mounted the camper on the truck. I didn't say anything though, because I know you know what you're doing, and I'm sure you'll address this in a future video, because you're sure to get a lot of feedback. Of course, I was right, you DO know what you're doing! I had no doubt there was a reason for what you did.
    Great video! And, it's unlikely I'll be able to make Conneaut this year. I'm trying to rearrange things, but there's just so much going on this time of year. Keeping my fingers crossed!

    • @robstruckshop80
      @robstruckshop80  2 місяці тому +1

      Thanks, Bob. The idea of questioning someone’s work based on a video always blows my mind. I question lots of things I see, but I always go with the logic that the person who has their own eyes and hands on the project probably knows better than me. Either that, or my opinion really doesn’t matter anyway!
      Bummer, was hoping to catch up in Conneaut, but there will be more shows! It’s a busy time of year for sure.

    cool build but I would have extended the frame rails to the back of the camper then you could have dropped a bumper and a hitch

    • @robstruckshop80
      @robstruckshop80  2 місяці тому +2

      Did you watch the video? I explain why that’s not necessary and would have prevented me from mounting the tanks. I have no use for a hitch

    Looks nice my friend an your doing good work but as a retired truck drive the build looks tail heavy might have moved the rear axle back a bit but just my observation but it does look good

    • @robstruckshop80
      @robstruckshop80  2 місяці тому +1

      Appreciate it- if you watch the video in full I address the misconception that the axle is too far forward or that its tail heavy- it’s far more balanced than it even was as a trailer. Also keep in mind, that aluminum box of air only weighs 20-30% of the payload capacity of the truck

    What a cool build. When you were loading it, was the rear on your L9000 aired all the way up? The way it looked to me, if your load angle was gentler by a degree or 2 you might be able to save yourself from having to put down the blocks. Seems like I’m always good at firing a block out from under a tire at the worst times lol

    • @robstruckshop80
      @robstruckshop80  2 місяці тому +1

      I honestly don’t know, but that’s a great point. I’d love to plumb a way to over inflate the bags to help with the issue

    • @acecoors
      @acecoors 2 місяці тому

      @@robstruckshop80 there have been times I’ve dropped the landing gear and cranked the front of the trailer up as high as I could without the truck wheels coming off the ground just to get a little better angle. Now is that easier that setting down a couple blocks?? That would be a hard case to make. lol

      Too high how? Keep in mind that you’re seeing it on a screen, shot on a wide angle lens, from 50’ away. I can assure you the tape measure doesn’t lie and it’s well under 13’6” on the trailer .
