Wasted time costs me time | long trucking wait

- Getting up super early to find out that you can’t get loaded is always frustrating. Especially when it’s through no fault of your own. That’s what happen to me for this days trucking which as a result had an impact on me all day….
Update on what happened the next day….
It also had an impact on me the next day as I was stuck in a queue for four hours and got stuck in Friday traffic which meant I nearly didn’t make it home on Friday night - Авто та транспорт
Your broom reminds me of Del boy and Rodney, Trigger had an award for taking care of his broom, he had the same broom for 16 years, had 24 new heads and 14 handles!!!!

Look after yourself and remember to eat!! I did a delivery to a supermarket distribution centre. I had all the paperwork with lots of reference numbers on it. Unfortunately none were correct. Had to turn round and call the office and wait...... And wait....... And wait!! 🤣
Oh goodness that’s not good. It’s not so bad at the beginning of the week but gets more frustrating towards the end of the week

It's unfortunate that the delay in the quarry ruined your whole day. That's frustrating for sure. But at least the rest of your day went smoothly and you could even spend the night at home. The house renovation is progressing nicely, your home will be amazing when finished. The Alcoa gift package is very cool, you deserve such a nice present. Wasn’t to well last week hope he is o/k now. Lucerne is a town in Switzerland I’m not shore I like Switzerland so I will let you know after the game which starts here in Australia in3 hours time. Thank you! Yes it’s been worth it, but luckily I get a break from it every week unlike Ryan living with no heating for 2 winters. Hopefully we’ll get it finished one day 🤣

Hi Jemma. Lucerne is a high protein crop. I think it is named after being first introduced to Europe at Lucerne in Switzerland. In some countries it's called Alfalfa. It is Legume like clover, peas and beans, meaning it has nodules on its roots that fix nitrogen, so it doesn't need extra artificial nitrogen fertiliser. I know Hanford Feeds, Dorchester (now MVF) used to grow and dry it there until the mid 90s when it became cheaper to buy imported.

Not the easiest of tasks, since cereals are hexaploids and consist of three different grass genomes in the same plant!

I really hope the people in the info chain see/are shown this, and realise how much time and cost their lack of F's/care/attention to detail wastes, and the effect it has on others down the line/beyond their office.
you should see how much time we lose when driving in the EU because of a missing digit on the paperwork.. I personally have sat for 28 hrs at a clearance depot but know of others that have sat for longer.
Maybe if it was 20+ years ago I think they would care but I think that’s long gone now a days

I know the struggles with waiting, I spent a total of 6 hours at two different ports a couple of weeks ago.
I was around your way the other day, saw one of your drivers coming out of Portbury on Friday morning. They were in a Merc.
I had a nice surprise yesterday morning going into Bristol to work and seen this beautiful wain’s truck coming out, lovely to spot you .. keep up the great vlogs 👍🏻

You asked about the name Lucerne and over here it is the name of a company that produces dairy products such as milk, cheese and yogurt. Anyway they are a hugh company and may do buisness in europe and the UK. As you say your home is coming along quite well. All the best and keep on trucking. 😀

Jemma, why I love following you is that I drive a large motorhome (8.8m) plus I tow a car behind it. For me, that's a long vehicle. I always find it an inspiration to see you going down all those country lanes in an HGV. Keep it up, it's really is interesting to watch. 🥰

It's so silly that drivers dont get reference numbers and everything up front. Any other industry, all orders have the exact same information but it seems like trucking can be hit and miss. Needs to be more organised industry-wide to prevent drivers wasting their time

Lucerne is a leguminous plant ( like peas, beans and clover) and is called Alfalfa in the US. It is very high in protein and is made into hay and is incorporated into animal feed.

Portbury is half 4 finish, nakered me a few times lately.
Lucerne is much higher in protein and calories than ordinary hay seeds. Commonly grown in Switzerland (where the name originated) and also Germany. Very few farms in the UK grow it. Unfortunately it is apparently cheaper to import it (like so many things).

The UK is certainly bonkers britain. A 2 hour wait for a load of clay. It was so much simpler 20 year ago when people were involved rather than computers.

Great video but it would be really nice if the camera shots looking out the front of the cab were clearer as you talk about great views but the footage is a bit grainy. Time for a camera upgrade or are the windows just a bit dirty? Al
