- Follow me for the day in my life as a bulk tipper driver hauling grain to and from farms. I have a few problems with phone numbers and lots of narrow lanes.

Some of those lanes look very narrow but you never seem stressed which is a good way to be

I love Jemma because she sort of reminds me of myself - very wise, confident & efficient but also full of doubt & self-doubt! A person can be both things.
Despite the terrible weather this was a fairly easy day for you. The phone trouble was funny, but fortunately you could reach the farmer after a few tries. The barley delivery to the farm was very interesting. Lots of narrow and muddy lanes. I'm sure it's a pretty good feeling when you park up for the night after a long and productive day. Sensational vlog again Jemma. Your regular uploads are much appreciated.

Good old Gara Bridge......Apparently there's cameras by the bridge now to witness oversize vehicles even attempting to cross that bridge, it's bad enough cars doing damage to it 🤣

Kingsbridge and surrounding areas are really beautiful, especially on a warm summer evening, watching the sun go at large distances/views.
If you are really lucky, the stars and the galaxies come out.
I did drive a truck in the UK for a while. All be it a ridged. Some of those lanes in the West country with the grass growing up them are fun. I remember going to North Devon. Cutting the edges of the roads with my wheels. Nowhere to turn around. Hoping you are going the right way. Often a ridged is worse because it doesn't bend to get around things. All the restrictions on driving times. Work hours. Rest breaks. Totally different in Australia. Some of the guys out here clock up serious miles in a day.
Hi Jemma, Another really interesting and enjoyable video. I like it that you have started to tell us the mileage of each trip, and the total at the end of the day.
When I was on the farm, I didn't often realise how involved your drivers job was. Finding out of the way farms down narrow lanes etc. I remember one lady driver with a small parcel, telling me places like ours should not exist. This was, of course, before mobile phones and satnav or GPS on the tractor. 👍

Great to see you on the A30 at tea time heading north as I was heading south
this is what I like about driving in North America, everything is on a screen and so we always know where we're going, Adress and all, i just google to know where it is and then I drive till I get there, so much easier.
What a coincidence, I went to that grain store for the first time this week. I've lived in the area my whole life and had no idea it was there 😂
Hi there Jemma, I often think that sweeping out the back of the trailer must be the most hazardous part of the job. Regularly being exposed to high concentrations of dust must be a risk to your health? Is there any plans for loan working also. I know with working in industry, the health and safety police would be all over this. I guess its just part of the driving job. Have a good'un.

Don't ever change a thing. You have a wonderful formula and even if we see the same sort of things again, like daily checks, that is part of the enjoyment of these peeks into your hard working life. Can't believe the hours that you do, you are a hard worker and a great driver. With a fabulous high kick when needed ! I look forward to seeing your videos every week. Sometime could you explain about weight transfers on the lorry and maybe some technical stuff like that, for us non big lorry drivers. Cheers.

Nothing wrong with a walk around in the morning before driving off….
Not too long ago I happened to spot a completely deflated inner tyre* on the single pulling axle of the tractor/trailer unit I was to drive that day!!…
We will never know what trouble and/or accident was awaiting me… and I am grateful for that!!!
* on our trucks you can not ‘kick’ the inner tyre to check it; the fender is in the way….
I (thank God!!) noticed a slightly ‘funny’ shape of the outer tyre and took a closer look to find out….
There is no doubt in my mind the one tyre carrying all the load on it’s own (although we are not all that heavily loaded) could have overheated causing a blowout….
Also the deflated tyre could’ve caused trouble by disintegrating and/or damaging the other one.

Another great video. So reminds me of when I used to drive a livestock truck, delivering to farms in Devon. Some real tricky places to find and all before the days of mobile phones.

You make the proper arrangements, yet no one there. You deal with it well Jemma.
Yesterday I loaded at a farm with assurance someone would be there all week. I was unable to reach farmer after several attempts well before arrival and arrived with no one there. Luckily our paperwork rules are lax in North Dakota and I got myself loaded.
A driver’s time often does not seem important to others.

Hi from France,i follow you on your chanel,i drive a petrol tanker in and around Lyon here in France.I"ve just finished my first week back from holidays.....you know checking your véhicule before you leave is pretty important,i found my vehicule monday without lights,no oil,no cooling liquid,no windscreen washer liquid,no fuel,no Adblue and of course absolutly filthy,didn't i have a fun monday...i've been pretty busy,so the véhicule is still dirty.I really do like your way of working.

So cool. I have an entire fleet of trucks and trailers. I drive them when I can. Usually in my lounge as they are all 1:32 scale Siku RC😂😂😂

I love the new map. Btw I followed a tipper lorry the other day which had a warning sticker on the back saying "Warning cab operated tailgate". At the time I thought that would be a nice addition for you to have. Another great video.
Clad to see you back watching from 🇺🇸 usa in Florida getting unloading here . Unloading kitchen cabinet load f or new homes that are being built. Fuel is high here almost 5 a gallon here in Florida. Gas is almost 4 dollars a gallon also .I'll be buying some merch.
