I can remember seeing the ads for this film on TV at the tender age of 14 and thinking that it looked pretty stupid.

Did you know the Hong Kong studio Golden Harvest co-produced this movie? It would have been more entertaining if it was a badly dubbed kung-fu sci-fi movie.

@@eddiejoewalt7746 In this case, it holds water. Golden Harvest didn’t exactly make good Western-market-targeted English language movies at all during much of the 1980’s.
Hard to believe that they actually sat through a B-movie like Megaforce.
That’s what being a movie critic is all about: you see virtually everything that is released.

This has to be the greatest bad movie ever made... I mean so awful, it’s worth watching just so you can laugh at how bad it is..

Isn't there another, alternate, review they did of this movie where the roles were reversed- Siskel does most of the review and Ebert chimes in at the end of the segment with his own remarks?

I saw this at the movie theater in summer 82 was disappointed. I should of seen The Road Warrior instead.

A laughable flop that I had to watch many times as I was an usher in a cinema when it came out. Very few people came to watch this turkey and some day screening played empty. At least we got to yell and laugh at the screen. We renamed it ‘Megafarce’.

Such a shame that edward mulhaure is in this junk, thankfully after this piece of trash he went back to television co-starring on the huge hit knight rider which came out the same and launch the career of the great david hasselhoff and of course had the sleekest most coolest car ever kitt aka pontiac firebird and william daniels who starred in st. elsewhere (one of my all time favorite tv shows).
