Another super lengthy Atari Lynx title (we finally got them all). This one features the most levels out of all of them, a whopping 250. Although, actually, it's a few less than that as some stages literally seem to be missing (three or four). What's surprising is that despite the game being broken up into 5 islands with 50 stages each, I don't actually notice much difference in difficulty. The game is pretty straight forward after you learn the rules and powerups. The game gets pretty addicting and I ended up playing through this whole thing a little faster than I thought (especially compared to Chips Challenge and Crystal Mines). It certainly doesn't hold up well with todays standards, but it was probably a decent game at the time. Note that Super Skweek isn't a strict puzzler like Chips Challenge. There's generally different ways to beat a stage and you also have the possibility of randomly spawning an exit door or bonus stage powerup which immediately finishes the level for you. These powerups are often times also purchaseable in the shop that almost every stage has. If you don't feel like playing a stage or if you can't figure out the solution, you can either purchase that powerup or just replay the level enough until you get one of them spawned onto the field. With this in mind, I tried to show the solutions to all stages but there were a few I simply couldn't make sense of and I ended up beating them only due to certain powerup spawns that I got lucky with. I can't verify if this is the "intended" way to do it or not, but honestly some of these stages feel so broken they must be impossible to complete without such powerup.
Wouldn't be surprised if the Amiga and Lynx versions are the same. There's also a Game Gear version with only 100 stages and as repetitive as this was.. I'm somewhat eager to give that one a go pretty soon.

I’ve played this on the Amiga, nice little puzzle game, didn’t know it had a Lynx port.
