Little tip. You can place buildings before you research them in the University, you just won't be able to asign a builder to build them till the research is done. This way, you can plan out your placement and styles beforehand and have them ready for when you finish the research.
Hey Sjin, you don't need to rebuild the whole windmill to glue it all together. There is a block in Create called the radial chassis, you should place it in the middle of the windmill, on the bearing (where you had the oak log in your example) and after you apply glue to the sides of it you can select a radius in which all connected blocks will become glued together and spin as one.
Also: the grave yard and the mystical site work hand in hand. When your grave digger is not burying a deceased colonist, they will hang out at the mystical site and level up. With research and leveling at the mystical site, there’s a better and better chance of reviving a dead colonist! Bee-utiful!
Beeutiful! And dang Sjin having Ms Jamison become the most Metal bee keeper ever. Simply handing her sheers forged from metal from the depths of hell. Lol
The composter, whilst optional, is a good dump for excess seeds, crops and saplings. So if the warehouse is getting really full of these, it might be handy to hire one for a moment to get rid of them. Also, the farm can use the compost to increase its output. The warehouse has a button to sort, but it doesnt auto-sort sadly. Though it is purely for the player, as the couriers have little to no effort to finding the stuff either way~ There is also a research that will make NPC's continue the work during rain, though I cant recall exactly where it is in the techtree. Iirc its at lvl 3 somewhere. The sprucing looks bee-e-a-utifull by the way~
Hey Sjin, the decorations you made to the colony is great and it's bee-utiful. To have more colonists, you can upgrade your existing houses to add a few more so you do not need to worry of building more houses for the time bee-ing. (Level 5 houses holds 5 colonists) Also I think it'll be cool if you have an archer academy or a knight academy so that your guards/army would have better stats before moving into the barracks which would help in raids.
Beeutifully done rescue of the messy colony Sjin! Looks better than I could build by hand. Never thought of retaining walls for decorations in Minecraft before!
What a BEEautiful episode, can't help but notice the colonists walking up the stone rails while ignoring the wooden steps, maybe switch the materials around to see if they use the stone steps cause it just giving me urges to push them off the sides like that lol, also a composter is a great way to getting rid of your excess saplings and seeds which is no doubt taking up space in your warehouse, you also need compost for the flowershop if you want dyes and flowers for buildings easy instead of running around the map hoping to find them again
Hey Sjin here is a tip for the banners (that someone may have already given but still) If you break the blank colony banner and put it back down it will update to your new banner
I was so worried when the composter hut was put by the university but trusted your judgement as the building master, but putting a mystical site there would be beeutiful! can't wait to see what comes next for your beeutiful colony
The colonists ai prioritize whichever path makes them move the fastest in theory. The stone bricks are blocks that increase speed, so they're climbing up on the sides of your stars rather than taking the wooden stairs themselves. Bee-utiful colony so far!
So glad you've gone some way to sorting the bits between the buildings out. looks so much better. I was thinking it wasn't up to Sjin's 'Let's build' series quality. The town is almost big enough to have named districts and street signs now as well.
Beeutiful town, Sjin. So happy you're doing Mine colonies! It's a mod I always wanted to just be a base mechanic in vanilla. FYI, this episode isn't showing up in the playlist yet. Glad I checked instead of just waiting. Keep up the amazing work!
I haven't try this but from what I see, you can pick up the barracks tower in its build options GUI, then have a builder repair the barracks itself to have another barrack tower placed down for free, rinse and repeat for infinite barrack towers that can be placed elsewhere. Also give your guards some shields would be an immediate improvement. And lastly, very BEEutiful.
Colony is looking absolutely BEE-utiful Sjin and for the barracks once it is built you have the option to go to each of the 4 corners of the barracks and build the barracks towers
I totally forgot to comment about the university fliparooski, but I won't miss this beeautiful chance to tell you that you're an amazing person with a big heart, and I hope your day goes great!
A Little tip That helmet icon on your map that appears from time to time is a boss, a pretty easy one at that but it drops an axe that can't broke. Veeery useful, and your colonists can use it too!
The colony is looking BEEautiful! You should add more flower variants to the apiary, I'm not sure of the exact logistics but it's something like 'bees need 5 different flowers a day to make honey' I think. Also, probably a bit late now but you should be placing your buildings at level 5 so that when you place other buildings close to it, the schematic will show at level 5 (when it's the biggest)
Also also, between episodes you should create a few more underground tunnels for your citizens, and try to limit how many stair cases you have in a row (it confuses them) Also also also, just incase you're gonna tear down the windmill blades and replace them with the sails, you can actually just use the exact same blocks and build it the same way. This will require way more glue, but as long as you use it sparingly (e.i. 2 sides maximum, one to connect to the existing blocks and one to connect to the next blocks). Keep in mind these create builds work with everything from fences to trap doors to redstone stuff (I think even string a sugarcane and stuff) as long as it's glued down, it will become a part of the "machine" and move with it.
Bee-utiful XD Yeah, some of these buildings can be a little fiddly, and you really are getting to a point where you're going to need to be a lot more deliberate. One warning when it comes to doing suburbs the way you are talking about: If colonists have to walk too far (or at least what they consider to be 'too far') from their home to their job, they will be upset, so you might end up needing to do some manual re-organizing of the colonists' houses, and make sure that you've got houses that are well distributed throughout your colony. And yeah, these bums can get really lazy, and get upset within a few chunks of distance between their home and their job. As for the guard towers, those really are for expanding your borders, more than they are for providing guard slots. Now, mind you, they still do provide guard slots, but more importantly than that, they have the biggest build-radius boost of any building (aside from the town hall). They start with a 2 chunk radius, followed by 3 chunk for 2 and 3, 4 chunk for 4, and 5 chunks for 5, so they can be used to claim a lot of territory comparatively easily, since all other buildings will claim, at most, two chunks around them. Also, one of the 'decoration' blocks that you are able to place are travel waypoints, and plonking those down for the builders to process along your paths and at the tops and bottoms of your stairs will get the colonists to favor the paths and stairs. With height differences like you are setting yourself up for, that will greatly reduce on the slow attrition of fall-damage for your colonists.
You don't need to have a single building levelled to 3 to comply with the requirements. It's "Buildings totaling level X" so if you need level 3, three level 1 buildings will satisfy the requirement (if it's cheaper). However, it's still better in the long run to have the buildings levelled up. Couriers for example can carry more at a time at higher levels.
BEEutiful, also with your barracks built you should start equipping your guards since they can use iron weapons and armour, and since you got the research to allow them to use shields. Forge a new kingdom army to defend against strawfingers.
if you plant a tree surrounded by flowers, it can grow with a hive attached, so thats a way to make new bees XD its a beeriliant mecanic of minecraft :P
Tis' Beeutiful, my boy. Top notch, wot wot. Know that if you ever need to make your own Bee Nests (the natural hives found in the trees) you can plant Oak or Birch Trees adjacent to any flower, and then there'll be a chance it spawns with a Bee Nest that has a couple Bees in it. It's likely more convenient than scouring the land for bees.
Beeutiful town! maybe your colonist prioritizes stone stairs over the wood ones. try to change the lower part of the stairs from wood to stone, this way you can check if it works better and lowers the chances of falling to death
Hey sjin the library and university should be one building u can check out the layout in the building tool at decorations medieval oak, i highly suggest doing this otherwise the university will look really ugly at higher levels
Did you know IRL that bees don't pick up pollen close to their hive, they tend to go really far out before they start collecting, then they collect on their trip back. They're full of pollen by the time they get near to the hive.
bee-you-tea-full and you should consider the fact that building stairs using stairs as railings confuses the heck out of your citizens. I've found that building pathways in such a way that they have no choice but to stay on the path tends to relieve the stress on the pathing A.I. That said, if you prefer form over function, I will not fault you sir. Great series regardless. (Also, nobody tell Sjin that there are raider spies here watching the construction so they can plan the attack to free Strawfingers.)
Since you researched shields for the guards, you might want to give them some. In the basic MineColonies pack shields can actually have the look of your Colony Banner, putting that Bee-utiful design in the game world early.
Install fencing on the ladder and ridge, they will keep throwing themselves off of there like lovesick lemmings . . Also, consider using slabs instead of stairs, the NPCs have an easier time with them.
Little tip. You can place buildings before you research them in the University, you just won't be able to asign a builder to build them till the research is done. This way, you can plan out your placement and styles beforehand and have them ready for when you finish the research.

Apparently, the AI path-finding does not include wooden steps, hence, they are taking the stone brick steps instead.
@@bookday502 yea i figured it's either that or cobblestone has a high priority for pathfinding
This series is currently one of my favorites on UA-cam. It's just so simply idyllic. I love it and keep up the good work Paul!
Same here!
Very BEEutiful colony you have made. Always checking youtube to see when you upload the next video.
The way you cleaned up the colony with the retaining walls and flattening of land is very Bee-uttiful
I’m so glad you moved that quarry and composter. It’s going to look Beeutiful! 🐝
Hey Sjin here is a tip for the banners (that someone may have already given but still) If you break the blank colony banner and put it back down it will update to your new banner
All those changes in the town are BEEautiful! Thumbs up Sjin!
This episode was simply beeutiful!!! Can’t wait to see how the colony continues to develop.
I was so worried when the composter hut was put by the university but trusted your judgement as the building master, but putting a mystical site there would be beeutiful! can't wait to see what comes next for your beeutiful colony

love all the extras you did in this episode. like the retaining walls.
You smelting the glass instead of just grabbing the glass from your computer was Bee-utiful
Bee-yootiful. Also, guards will live in barracks/towers & you can upgrade the houses you have.
The Free Strawfingers Movement will not be stopped!
Always love your use of cobblestone with log frames and fences when terraforming hills and cliffsides.
Beeautiful day it was. Man the colony looks great now with all the work you have done.
Beeutiful town, Sjin. So happy you're doing Mine colonies! It's a mod I always wanted to just be a base mechanic in vanilla. FYI, this episode isn't showing up in the playlist yet. Glad I checked instead of just waiting. Keep up the amazing work!
This series has been Beeutiful to watch thus far. Really enjoy watching it.
Who knew Bee-in-a-Bottle was a thing! I thought you would have to silk touch the hive at night to carry your sweet bees safely home. Fabeelous!
12:39 - "We're not very creative" -> spends a lot of time making the banner.
I'm a bit lete but Beeutiful series Sjin!
I love the new look! Yup, it's all looking much better, I'd like to live there!
I haven't try this but from what I see, you can pick up the barracks tower in its build options GUI, then have a builder repair the barracks itself to have another barrack tower placed down for free, rinse and repeat for infinite barrack towers that can be placed elsewhere.

And lastly, very BEEutiful.
Had no idea you could bottle bees. Beeautiful! Well played.
beeautiful beeutiful? idk you always decorate so well, i think that barracks placement will really pull the place together tbh, looks-wise
This was definitely the evolution of the kingdom episode I’m loving the series sjin catching up quickly :)
Colony is looking absolutely BEE-utiful Sjin and for the barracks once it is built you have the option to go to each of the 4 corners of the barracks and build the barracks towers
No you gotta BEElieve me! There’s no way I’ll skip to the end for the code word. It’s a must to see your BEEautiful colony progress.
Very BEEautiful day today ! Love how the colony is turning out ! Can’t wait to see how big it gets!
Quite a BEEautiful colony you've created here Sjin. These episodes always make my day, thank you for your hard work!
I totally forgot to comment about the university fliparooski, but I won't miss this beeautiful chance to tell you that you're an amazing person with a big heart, and I hope your day goes great!
And upgrade your houses and tavern for more space for colonists!!
I am from Saudi Arabia, I watched all this playlist in three days, you are awesome keep going.
Build a wall around the kingdom boundaries and make strawfingers pay for it!!!
That City is Looking Beeutiful
Wonderful work on the barracks platform and more
A Little tip
That helmet icon on your map that appears from time to time is a boss,
a pretty easy one at that but it drops an axe that can't broke.
Veeery useful, and your colonists can use it too!
Also, there is no way to get rid of rain but i think in the minecolony options you can make it so that the workers work in the rain.
beeautiful! love the upgrades to the colony’s look!
SJIN, The colonist are prioritizing the stone brick stairs over the woooooooddd
Those retaining walls look super nice
I love this series. It's BEE-AUTIFUL!

Beeeutiful. Love ur work sjin. I'm older but my kids got on feed the world videos and I haven't left. Keep it up space man.

Sjin your place is looking Beeutiful! You’ve inspired my friend and I to start a play through of the same mods!
the upgrades on the village is BEEutiful!
Beeutiful town! maybe your colonist prioritizes stone stairs over the wood ones. try to change the lower part of the stairs from wood to stone, this way you can check if it works better and lowers the chances of falling to death

I'm loving this series!! I recently started playing minecolonies and this is so helpful! I will watch ur previous series after this one
This episode was beeutiful~
Lol the beehive looks like it has a hat.
Too sunny, no honey!
Beeutiful redecorating of the colony Sjin
Man. Those bees are really hard working. Because they are beeusefull for getting honey
Your upgrades are beeautiful Sjin! looking good!
Did you know IRL that bees don't pick up pollen close to their hive, they tend to go really far out before they start collecting, then they collect on their trip back. They're full of pollen by the time they get near to the hive.
This latest series is bee-utiful!
Love the Beeautiful update to the Colony Sjin! Love the videos!
Beeutifully town Sjin, Maybe some upgraded roads but otherwise it looks super cool. Keep up the good work
bee-you-tea-full and you should consider the fact that building stairs using stairs as railings confuses the heck out of your citizens. Bee-utiful :) I have been enjoying this series a lot. We started up a minecolonies server for our group of friends because of this. Keep them coming!
BEEutiful Sjin! Hopefully you can get enough honeycombs to hire Mr Depp over there!
The colony is looking BEEautiful!
Beeautiful, i really enjoy watching this. the colony is looking amazing!
i'm sure your citizens enjoy your beeautiful colony!
BEEutiful. love it all you have an amazing series going on. keep up the great work.
Colony’s starting to look beeutiful!
BEE-utiful!! I love the edits you made! I really like the retaining walls that you added :D
Since you researched shields for the guards, you might want to give them some.
In the basic MineColonies pack shields can actually have the look of your Colony Banner, putting that Bee-utiful design in the game world early.
Be careful, I'm pretty sure that big Helmet icon on your minimap is a Ferrous Wroughtnaught, which is a boss mob.
The colony is looking beeautiful!
Barracks, what I often shout when things go wrong
Install fencing on the ladder and ridge, they will keep throwing themselves off of there like lovesick lemmings . .
Also, consider using slabs instead of stairs, the NPCs have an easier time with them.
Sjin!!! You can pick up bee hives with bees in it with silktuch
Bee-you-tiful Sjin!
I am giggling that you forgot how BEE-utiful it is to get bees Sjinny :)
Beeutiful!! The place is looking spiffy!
b e e - utiful love the look of the fields with the shaders
What a bee-utiful colony.❤️
make sure that windmill looks Beeutiful. :D
