Finally! Someone who knows Kurdish is teaching. I also teach Kurdish & check out other sources as my Kurdish responsibility. This young teacher is amazing!

Thank you from the bottom of my heart ❤️ Your lessons are the best resource on the whole internet! My in-laws are Kurdish and I don’t share any languages with them. My husband has to translate for us. They are absolutely lovely people and I really wish to be able to speak to them directly. I am trying to surprise them by learning 🥰

How to say "2,34" ? For example, in Russian it sounds like "two - thirty four" or (less often) "two - point - thirty four", and "2,3" usually sounds like "two and three".
I started studying Kurmancî very recently and while listening to a podcast (SBS Kurdi Australian based Kurd podcast) noticed that the host said "bîst bîst û yek" to refer to the year 2021 (kind of like in English we say twenty twenty one), but in most places/lessons I found online they teach to say the year as "du hezar û bîst û yek". Could anyone help me with this? Are both ways right? or was the first "bîst bîst û yek" just taken from the English way of saying it and therefore wrong in actual Kurmancî speaking regions? Thanks in advance!

Hello dear no one says bîst bîst û yek to refer the year. Probably it is, as you said, because of English.
@@kurdishkurmanjilessons so the correct way would be "du hezar û bîst û yek" then? Thank you so much for clearing that out for me!!! =)
@@sean_rs7 yes, exactly!
It is a bit looooog but what to do :))))
@@kurdishkurmanjilessons thank you so so much again!! you're the best 💛❤️💚

we used to "deh yek, deh du, deh se, deh çâr..."for 11, 12, 13, 14... can we say that its wrong?
It is depending on the region that you stay in, in Afrin we use this way to say numbers.
@@pesengtopal1708 I live in Adıyaman, there are many similarities between rojava, afrin and the kurdish we speak, this has caught my attention before
Deh yek 11…. would be considered wrong in bašur… we say (yazdeh)
In balochi
Ta chinka saal e yi
In kurdish to chan sale
