    You guys need to explain the verbal aliment in the past tense as it changes from English.
    "Min dit" means "I saw it"
    "min ditin" means I saw them
    The verb agrees with the object
    This needs to be explain to those who aren't Awre of this as this is very important regarding having ability to understand and communicate

    Silav mamoste,
    I have just begun following your lessons and find them so clearly explained.
    I have questions about Hîn bûn.
    - Can we say ‘fêr bûn’ to mean ‘to learn’ or is it incorrect?
    - I notice you conjugated the simple past as ‘Ez hîn bûm’. Does it mean ‘Hîn bûn’ is intransitive?

      Yes, fêr bûn is correct and yes fêr bûn and hîn are intransitive 🙂
      Ez kurdî fêr bûm - ez kurdî hîn bûm - I learned kurdî

    Are to be / to become (buyin) and to take (birin) the same in present tense?

      Ez dibim
      Tu dibî
      Ew dibe
      Em dibin
      Hûn dibin
      Ew dibin
      For birin
      Ez dibim

      Ew dibin
      Yes, the form will be same. So the context will help you to understand the meaning :)

    Could you please explain me why you use only use "peyivîn" and not the other verbs. Is it because it is the most authentic word ? I know that "xweber" is a loanword from Arabic.

      she from mêrdîn .
      and in mêrdîn only we use peyivîn .

      we have “qise kirin, xeber dan, peyivîn, axaftin” for the verb “to speak”

    Strange question, but how do you say "To smoke a cigarette" in Kurmanji? The reason I ask is because a lot of the Kurds I know smoke, so it's a daily thing in their lifestyle.
    So, how would you say "I don't smoke (cigarettes etc.)" ? :)

      Cixare kişandin - To smoke a cigarette
      Cixareyê nekşîne! Do not smoke :)

      Similarly with "Ez cixare kişandim?" :)

    the "x" sound in kurdish is always described as very harsh, but you speak it so softly and gently. Is it not always supposed to be so harsh sounding?

    avetin comes from aviz in Persian.

      Nothing comes from Persian, but your (Persian) ancestors (more than 2500 years ago) came from Urmia (Kurdish), before they went to southern Iran (Fars), you are descendants of kurds

      Persian is a dialect of arabic mixed with indo european words
