- My first time visiting My Botanika plant expo in Hamm 2024. The biggest houseplant show in Germany. With crazy rarities at insanely good prices. Come tour the shops with me & my fiancé as my cameraman. There are sellers from Germany, the Netherlands, France, Switzerland, etc. I also bought a few plants, so enjoy the haul at the end too.

Hi 💚, I hope you had fun with this plant expo tour. The event was absolutely crazy, truly a paradise for plant parents. It was sooooo difficult not to fall into a shopping frenzy. I wanted to buy every single plant I saw there 😭

Und fühle dich natürlich nicht schlecht wenn du nicht mega viel ausgegeben hast... klar, das ist auch dein Job uns coole Sachen zu zeigen und man fühlt sich dann manchmal auch dazu gedrängt viele krasse Pflanze zu kaufen/ besitzen... aber ich persönlich finde es erfrischend zu sehen wie jmd auch selbstkontrolle hat und nicht ständig iwo hingeht um Pflanzen zu kaufen sondern einfach um den Ort und die Schönheit der Pflanzen Vorort zu genießen 😊
The small gifted philodendron is a Dean McDowell, I got the same one and got told by one of their team members :D

We grew up with full feather down duvets in our Canadian/German home, but my first hotel visit where we had them on the beds was in Frankfurt, I was so impressed lol

The pricy anthurium was a Delta Force, which is a hybrid of Clarinervium and Pedatoradiatum. Really unique leaf shape
Attended boarding school in Hamm in the 60's. Was my very best school experience.
This looks like it was so much fun! Thanks for sharing. Good luck with the cissus discolor, that plant has a mind of its own and will grow the way it wants. It was a super tough to train, I ended up giving it away to make space 😅
Such a lovely video thank you for sharing. I’m getting a couple garter snakes as pets for my son but I’m using the opportunity to make a lush forest terrarium with waterfall. I may have to get a staghorn fern for it!

Wow in Canada I saw a similar size var Billy for $700 CAD in our local expo much cheaper. I’m surprised it’s still going strong despite tissue culture in the rise

I really appreciated that you showed how busy it got at the expo without the feeling of flitting around everywhere and that you filmed the plants before people went in , it made for a really enjoyable calm watch. I loved seeing the mounted playcerium for sale and the ones you bought. Do you know the names of any of the shops that had stalls selling them? Foliage factory had a better selection and better prices than harmony plants or any other shop I know, but apparently they closed for good. I’m glad I got to buy big part of my collection from them. They were the best

I think the price difference on the micans is because one is sun stressed and one is variegated.
Schönes Video von dir/euch. Schade, dass es mit einem Treffen nicht geklappt hat. Aber auch wir waren so überwältigt, dass wir nur von Oh zu Ah gelaufen sind.
Im Gegensatz zu dir habe ich mein Limit "leider" nicht eingehalten und eine große El Choco Red durfte auf dem Beifahrersitz Platz nehmen. Der Rest wurde auf der Rückbank verstaut.
Noch viel Spaß beim Hegen und Pflegen der neuen Mitbewohner. LG Marlen

Really nice video. Sadly all of the micans variegata where sold out so quickly :( The plant you didnt know at the end looks like a Philodendron McDowell becuase the leaves look so shiny. To be 100% sure you need to wait until it gets bigger. When were will there be another update on the big Monstera you chopped?

What is the website or Etsy to the kenzosgreenworld? I really love the keychain or a pillow from her. I found her website but is in a different language and does not give her Etsy. Maybe because she is not open to shipping in the USA?

Is a TC plant less worth than other plants?
That is a rather philosophical question. In my opinion they are not worth less, they are just produced differently. Although depending on the motherplant that is used for the TC certain traits can be reproduced. Good or bad. I'm just happy the plants I want are available for decent prices 😍

It was just random cars in the parking lot. Our car is nowhere to be seen, fortunately. But you're right, I don't want to show street names either. Im just now wondering if its allowed to show license plates of random cars on the street ?
I wanted to visit the MyBotanika in September and this spring... Last time my driver got sick and this time my best friend celebrated her birthday on the exact day... so unlucky 🥲 I really hope I can go this September and get those wishlist plants!
