i love seeing decklists for rogue decks like this. would you possibly be able to do an aromage deck? i always thought they were fun to play but last time i played them was when duel links came out. i would love to see a modern version of the deck.
(also, i know deck requests usually come from patreon users, but i thought it would be worth a shot)

Love this deck and I've actually been working on bringing Utopia to the next level. The problem with Utopia is that it's very hard to go second and you also fall victim to a single negate on your starter. Photon Hypernova does a LOT to mitigate this though, making Utopia a very viable going first and going second option that can play around single negates now thanks to bystials and Gigantic Champion Sargas. I know that Bystial Utopia may sound a little bizzare, but I can explain.
Here's a decklist I've been testing for a few weeks now that should be TCG legal by March:
    Monsters:
    3x Astraltopia
    2x Utopic Onomatopoeia
    2x Zubababancho
    2x Dodododwarf
    3x Ascended Sage
    1x Armed Sage
    1x ZW Twin Saber
3x Springans Kitt (combo extender that is always available with merrymaker)
    1x Lubellion
    1x Saronir
    1x Druiswurm
    3x Magnamhut
(Bystial ratios can be changed, I'm assuming Magnamhut will be hit in the next banlist like it was in the OCG, so we'll just have to wait and see)
    Spells:
    1x Change Tactics
    1x Utopiforce
1x Construction (mainly used with astraltopia in cases where I cannot summon 2 level 4s, lets me add sage to hand)
3x Onomatopickup (can actually also be used to make bystials level 4 in some cases)
    3x Onomatopaira
    1x ROTA
1x Tallyho! Springans! (OCG) (allows for new main combo with sargas and merrymaker. After being searched by Sargas, activate, detach 3x material from Sargas, search a Kitt, then summon 1x Merrymaker and 2x Kitt (one from hand, one from grave). You can then either make draco future immediately, or if you have another level 4 in your field, go into utopic sage, summon ascended sage, then go into main number 99 utopia play after summoning draco future with utopic sage and merrymaker)
1x Branded in High Spirits (important for consistency but can be changed, lets you do a full number 99 combo even if you can only summon 2 level 4s and also end up with sargas and draco future on the field so long as you have any bystial in your hand. If this card is removed, bring kitt down to 2x and add an armed sage)
1x Branded Regained (Kitt search target and helps recycle light XYZs when banished by bystials)
    Traps:
    1x Branded Beast
    3x Infinite Imperm
    Extra deck:
    1x Utopia
    1x Utopia Rising (OCG)
    1x Utopia Prime
    1x Utopic Sage
1x Springans Merrymaker (OCG) (send 1 kitt to the grave if there isn't one already and you dont have a kitt in hand, then go into sargas)
    1x Abyss Dweller
    1x Ultimate Leo Utopia Ray
    1x Utopic Future
    1x Draco Future
1x Big Eye (used late game when you go into Utopia Rising and revive Utopia Dragonar)
    1x Number 38
1x Gigantic Champion Sargas (OCG) (Also searches Tallyho!)
    1x Zeus
    1x Number 99: Utopia Dragonar
1x Albion (to send to the grave for Branded in High Spirits, lets you search for a branded spell/trap)
Usually will side out 3x Bystials, 1x Kitt, and high spirits along with albion (I side in daigusto emeral for the extra deck).
End fields depending on hand / what can be summoned:
Any 2 level 4s (worst outcome) -> Draco Future and Sargas
Any 3 level 4s -> Draco Future, Sargas, Number 99, Ultimate Leo, and (at start of enemy turn) Number 38
Utopic Onomatopoeia + Zubaba + Dododo-> Draco Future, Sargas, Number 99, Ultimate Leo, Abyss Dweller, and (at start of enemy turn) Number 38
(Assuming Branded in High Spirits is kept like I do)
Any 2 level 4s + any bystial (must search high spirits from Kitt effect after) -> Draco Future, Sargas, Number 99, Ultimate Leo, and (at start of enemy turn) Number 38
If anyone is interested in how exactly this deck works and how we end up with those fields in the given conditions, I can probably provide replays for YGO Omega.
Expanding Utopia is something that i've been trying very hard to do ever since I came back to YuGiOh like half a year ago since its what I played back when pendulums first became a thing, and this is by far the most consistent and powerful build of it I've been able to make ever since. It first started off with me trying to see if I could somehow reliably include Sargas into the deck, and that ended up opening a ton of doors for consistency in Utopia thanks to Tallyho! Springans! and Springans Kitt, 2 cards that are now used in nearly every starting combo for the deck with the help of Merrymaker and Sargas that make it possible to do an extended version of the original combo that always required Utopic Onomatopoeia + Zubaba + Dododo, otherwise the best you could do was make like a utopia double and go into ultimate leo and end your turn. The bystial engine is also very easy to access and rely on so long as you draw even one, since your bystial plays can be extended with Kitt (which you pretty much always summon turn 1). I'd give it a try, its loads better than the old Utopia build in every way. (Send me a disc message for replays, Tut 0921)

really cool to see innovation like this with a deck like Utopia but to be honest, while this version does seem to have a higher ceiling and perhaps more consistent than the regular version, I don't quite see how it is less vulnerable to interruption
getting Ash/Imperm/Veiler on your Sargas makes the combo fall apart, whereas in the original version you could dodge Veiler/Imperm with Utopia Double and getting Ashed still meant you could at least Leo Utopia with Twin Saber. but most importantly Utopia loses really hard to Nibiru and the Springans combo only gives F0 by the very end. in the regular version you could afford to run Traptrix Rafflesia with Gravedigger's Traphole to dodge hand traps like Ash and Nibiru and still go full Dragonar combo if you got at least 4 bodies on board which is easy enough with Ascended Sage + the Onomats.
of course you could still run Rafflesia in this version but then your end board with 4 bodies would be 1 monster negate and 1 bounce from Sargas, which isn't bad of course but imo inferior to the original version which gives you 2 monster negates, one of which can't be responded to, and a Spell negate. but maybe I'm missing something here because you obviously seem to have success with it so I'd love to hear your thoughts👍

@@terra636 TLDR; I didn't realize how long this would be when I started writing, but ultimately it comes down to consistency and backup plays for backup plays. This build can better survive early negates while ending with (in my opinion) better boards and also increasing overall consistency that doesn't always rely on having all 3 Onomat monsters, something that the original build suffered a lot from. You can make the same end boards as the old build with any 3 level 4s instead of them having to be the Onomat monsters. There are also no real bricks, and the only brick (Unicorn) can be shuffled back into the deck basically on command. The build is much better when going second, and those "going second" cards can still be used well when going first, and are especially good once you get your hands on Bystial backrow cards, which are also easy to search for. Most importantly, in any situation where this build would fail, the original would have failed much harder.
      The Essay:
What I meant by it being able to respond better to hand traps at the start of the duel is that backup plays are much better than the backup plays of the original build. If Pickup or Paira get negated, it's not an automatic GG like before. I personally always hated having to end on Utopia Double in the worst case scenarios since it just left you with a very easily removable monster and also forced you to run an extra brick in your deck. Whenever I was forced to do that, I pretty much always lost the duel.
Unfortunately, a Sargas negate would make the combo fall apart, but usually people will use up their hand trap negates before getting to that point, mostly on Utopic Onomatopoeia way before we even get to Sargas. In the old combo, an Onomatopoeia negate would just mean that you can summon Zubaba from your hand and go into double and then into Leo, but that would be the end of your turn. But before even that, Utopia Double isn't part of the original combo though, that was a backup play when you couldn't get all 3 Onomat cards out on the field and only had 2 level 4s. In this build, only having 2 level 4s at least leaves you with F0 and Sargas (assuming no further interruptions), and if you have a Bystial in hand, also leaves you with the full Number 99 combo.
I also don't see how Utopia Double dodges Imperm and Ash, all they have to do is chain it to your activation of the effect for it to crash, essentially the same for the worst case where you only have Sargas on your field and it gets negated. You'd be able to try again during your opponent's standby phase, but at that point you're not gonna be able to bring a Utopia out with more than 1 material, which is a pretty weak (and useless for 99). And yeah, Utopia will always lose to Nibiru, even before you get to Rafflesia, unless I'm misunderstanding how you're incorporating her into the combo. Regardless, I don't think it's worth main decking and always making Rafflesia just out of fear of a Nibiru, that's more of something I'd side deck and add to the combo after I see a Nibiru in the first duel of the match, though I guess that for master duel or a 1 of 1 format, that's not the worst thing.
Edit: I tried out Rafflesia to see how it fits in the combo, and from what I can tell, this only works if you start off with 4 bodies, one of which has to be Ascended Sage. You can still make that exact play in this build if you'd like to, but like I mentioned previously, it's not something I'd main deck since it really only counters Nibiru, though you could side deck it. I wouldn't really rely on it though since having 4 bodies isn't the most consistent thing, especially if your searches or Utopic Onomat get negated.
On another note, relying on having both Ascended Sage and all 3 of the Onomats as a starting hand is a recipe for disaster. I've found much better general success with builds that rely on starting off with the least amount of bodies since they're much easier to get to, and with Sargas usually result in pretty much the same (or a better) board. From all the testing that I've done with this current build, there's actually no benefit to starting with 4 level 4 bodies over starting with the 3 Onomat name cards since you already end with a full (if you chose to) 6 monster board.
Aside from all of that, the biggest positive point I have for the Springans engine is that you can make the old optimal end board from the original build using any 3 level 4s (or any 2 level 4s and a Bystial), when before you'd have to use the 3 Onomat name cards or you'd otherwise end with a relatively weak board. Before, if my Onomatopickup or Onomatopaira got Ash'd, that'd pretty much be the end of the duel. Now, I can afford to play off of non-onomat cards, which is also why I only run 2 of each of the Onomat monsters. Nibiru aside, this has been the most consistent I've ever been able to make the deck where a situation where I can't even summon anything has become extremely rare.
The Bystials are also a pretty nice engine that flow pretty well into this build. Sargas special summoning Kitt allows you to search Beast/Regained, and Magnamhut specifically combos very well with Sargas since during your first turn you can summon Magnamhut pretty easily, activate the effect, and then bounce it back to your hand with Sargas, which is something that pretty much always happens when I have Magnamhut in hand. When things go south with multiple negates during my first turn, Bystials have come in clutch to at least let me live another turn to keep fighting a fair bit, essentially as a backup to the backup plays.
Admittedly, I'm still working on finalizing the build, but I don't think that there's much more I'd change. Anything else I've tested either feels like "win more" plays that lower consistency and would only end up with a "better" field in a situation where you would already win, or just feel like gimmicks. I'm absolutely open to trying different builds, and I often go back to trying out the default pre-PHHY Utopia build just to make sure that I'm not straying off too much and making a worse build somehow, but those consistency flaws that the original build has really just make me glad that the Sargas engine exists now. Even small things like being able to shuffle back in Unicorn as a guarantee off of Kitt (which should be summoned every first turn) get rid of a lot of the frustration that I always had with Utopia, as much as I loved the deck. Before, if you drew into unicorn, the only ways for you to be able to use Leo were for you to either have XYZ Change Tactics out (you summon 4 Utopias for -2000 LP so that you can special summon Unicorn), or by shuffling it back into the deck with Zexal Construction, neither of which are guarantees.
Back when I ran Utopia Double, it was just as bad with Double or Nothing, and if you drew both Double or Nothing and Unicorn (idk how RNG always hated me, but this happened way more often than it should have), that was absolutely game. You can easily splash Utopia Double back into the deck, but I really don't see the point in that since for any situation where I'd summon Utopia Double, I'd pretty much always rather have Sargas and Draco Future. And afaik, Utopia Double would still fall to a hand trap, so if you were going to fail with Sargas, you were going to fail with Double anyway (unless for some reason they try to Imperm you before you use the effect and you just chain, but even in Master Duel that didn't happen often, though I can't deny that it did).
I will also say though, at the end of the day this is still limited by the fact that it's a Utopia deck. There's many points of failures throughout the main combos, but this build is made to play around said failures as consistently as possible while also keeping it as a Utopia deck, and it does that pretty well especially if the enemy handtraps are activated at the start of the combo. While it's not perfect, the Bystials have also helped a lot in not only going second, but also going first since like I said, you can abuse Magnamhut by bouncing it back with Sargas, you can extend your combo by using Branded in High Spirits (which is searchable) and exchanging a Bystial for a Kitt and a Branded spell/trap, and in some cases can also use the Bystial dragons themselves as bodies for rank 4 plays with Onomatopickup. You could get rid of the Bystials in favor of more Onomat monsters and maybe Armed Sages, but I'd much rather keep the power and added long-term consistency of the Bystials.
I'd give the deck a try if you're at all interested, though it is fairly expensive to build at the moment with current Bystial prices. One thing of note is also Utopia Rising which doesn't come out until March, but you can just replace it with another rank 4 (with my personal pick being a Daigusto Emeral). Or you can just try it in YGO Omega or another game, you don't have to take my word for it, but I think you'll be pleasantly surprised. I honestly thought I'd have to drop Utopia since going first wasnt even a guaranteed win and going second was almost always a loss, but this build really mitigated a fair amount of that.

I also run rank up zexal in my build,in case I draw the utopiforce one. Astraltopia is definitely a 3 of,I even run mathmech alembertian to search it when I can. I would also not play more than 2 zs armed sages, and since you're playing 2 astralkuribohs I'd just run 1. Lastly, since utopia when going second is pretty bad you should run more handtraps. That's just my opinion, but I think mine are sensible suggestions.
