42nd Traverse We Return: 4WD New Zealand

- After years of traveling NZ we finally make it back to explore one of New Zealands most iconic 4WD tracks. Being in the middle of summer the conditions were dry and made for a relatively easy run and it was nice to see how much track maintenance has been done to look after this iconic track.

Awesome video....I did the 42 with the Taranaki family 4x4 club on the last weekend of January the place was packed with people and 4x4s it was super dry and stinking hot I spent 95% of the trip in 2 wd in my stock ford ranger flatdeck the hill climb at 1440 in the middle of the right hander at the top is a big hole now ...... Loved the trip and I will be doing it again 💘 the views are just fantastic as cool at it looks on video it is even better in person thank you for the video as I didn't film any myself

Just did it solo today. Have done it heaps before, but this was the first time in a year. Some pretty tough sections through it. I was shocked. I guess it’s a bit later in the season. I reckon starting at Owhango and heading to Kapoors is the best way to go.
