i’m going to move to madrid in may 5 and i’m so nervous about it, i’m afraid i’ll not make any friends because i’m going to work first and study after learning some spanish. i’m a brazilian lawyer, i’m 23 and i’m looking for any type of job until the validation of my diploma. so, i’m afraid to don’t make any friend in my future job and end up having no contact with other people 😰
Hi Talita 🫂 you’ll be able to make friends, it won’t be easy but I’m sure you’ll meet people. Just remember that you gotta put yourself out there 💖✨ easier said than done, I know but once you get here you’ll see how nice people and there’s so many things going. You can go to events etc and just introduce yourself. All the best ✨✨✨
Hi Ellen, I’m from India and moving to Spain this September. I’ve been following your vlogs for the past two years and I have to say, they’ve truly inspired me to live independently. I’ll be working as a language assistant in Sevilla, Andalucía this year. I hope to see you in Madrid someday! Wishing you all the best!
Hiiiii, thank you so much. Comments like this really push me to continue sharing on this platform 🥺 please hit me up when you’re in Madrid. I’m glad my vlogs helped you. I can’t wait for you to experience Spain!
Hey hi Ellen your videos are really nice to watch. I am from India and going to move in jan to Madrid for my studies. I hope this city will not disappoint me. I hope to see you someday. Wishing you and your team all the luck for your new business✨🫶🏼
Hi! You can get by with English here, there are a lot of expats, and in tourist areas, people often speak English. However, I highly recommend learning Spanish if you plan to live here, even just a little. One of the charms of living abroad is learning and speaking another language. People really appreciate it if you know how to say some things in Spanish. Most importantly, when you go to hospitals, immigration offices, or other places where you need to talk to people, you'll have to do it in Spanish. Some might know English, but others may not.
a little late watching, but I enjoyed the vlog, Ellen! Your Mondays are booked and busy!!
haha I try to have everything in one day so once it’s over my week is pretty much done too! Haha
