  • This is a follow up to my video from years ago, where I bought and used this pole chainsaw, and with a little bit of DIY maintenance (as shown here) and this tool is still going strong just like the first day I took it out of the box. At this point this saw has paid for itself many times over.

    I love my Kobalt 80-volt - 5ah battery - 10" Bar - 6 ft / 8ft foot Pole Saw. I have been using it for more than 3 years now. It works great on my southeast Louisiana farm clearing property that a hurricane went through and trashed all the trees in the woods of our 20-acre farm. Today I'll be cutting a 6-inch limb off of a tree out front.

      Looks like 3 years or more are very reasonable for pole saws...

    I brought one and used it so much I think the chain is dull. Do I just replace it?
