Its actually similar to a hunter art called demon riot although demon riot would make it go down at a set pace instead of per attack but usage seemingly is gonna be the same

I think it is from Yatsukadaki . Remember, Nerscylla's armour is very much Mecha inspired, and if both are of the same classification, then why wouldn't their armours have similar design themes

I've only killed him twice in World, once with SnS something that I'm actually good with, and once with Switch Axe. I'll be honest, the Axe and mantles did 90% of the work. Lol

Really like what they're doing so far with the weapon movesets for Rise, they're keeping the familiar movesets of World with some extra added complexity in the form of Silkbind attacks to keep things fresh.

on the bright side, we got a 2nd jump/attack, downside is that it probably has a cooldown if what others are saying is correct regarding the wirebugs

0:17 after doing the poweraxe slam attack, you can do a new quick 2hit sword attack. the hunter then transforms back into axe but if you notice here it actually does a double axe spin instead of the morph slash fron world.

So Capcom created disruptive weapons, Longsword, Gunlance and Charge Blade, to mess up every attempt at cohesive teamwork according to their kinds. And Capcom saw that it was annoying, but gud. Capcom blessed them and said, "Be fruitful and increase in number to fill every hall, except Gunlance, because nobody uses that shit." And there was a Paw Pass Ticket, and there was a Quest Complete screen - the fifth quest.
And Capcom said, “Let the forge produce victims according to their kinds: the Lance, the Greatsword, the Dual Blades, and the Sword and Shield according to its kind.” And it was so. Capcom made the Lances according to their kinds, the Greatswords according to their kinds, and all the weapons that tripped along the ground according to their kinds. The Switch Axe in this game seem awesome. Can't wait to play it.
But that monster though! It looks so cool.
The new skills were needed. The Switch Axe, despite me maining it, had some drawbacks that kept it from being really good. A lack of any defence meant that players had a high skill demand when it came to dodging, and mobility was limited. This made the Switch Axe unwieldy and, eventually, insufficient for taking on fast targets, even some Elder Dragons. The Protective Gambit is definitely an upgrade that will help it. Even one move that grants some kind of super armour-like effect was needed for those of low skill, as before the Switch Axe was a rather highly demanding weapon, requiring attention and patience. The new moves will help out a lot, for both new and older players, both beginners and pros.

From 4 returning Flagships (Glavenus, Brachydios, Tigrex and Nargacuga.) Just one of them had His old Weapon design (Narga.), AND even worse, the slap on design from Glavenus had the same exact geometry / form of the old design, just without the Axe and Sword blade

Very new to playing Monster Hunter, but I’m really liking the Switchaxe so far. Still working on the exploding, but the combination of speed and heft is really selling it for me.

So... Phial effects translate to Axe now too. They added Demon Riot as a Silkbind skill and some of the Valor morphs.

Anyone else notice that while it's clearly a water elemental switch axe being showcased, there where some combos that seem like it gave off a thunder element discharge animation as well?
Could be the mini discharges from the switch axe itself but it looks like thunder to me. During the super charger bit towards the end there's a slight animation where you see green thunder. 🤔
The discharge of this thing looks amazing, I like it better than the usual "Explosions"
