Shawn, so happy you got to play in the garden this week! Amazed at how you are able to free-form those flowers. This just shouts Spring! Have a lovely week.
I love Sundays, the first thing I watch is your videos! I love that you got to plant flowers in the sun and be inspired, spring is so exciting! Love the masks lying on the wet paint to leave textural marks and the crumpled paper! You really are helping me learn to paint loose and how to expertly add the definition with line work and the pastels just lifted it to perfection! Dreamy piece, love it!💕🇨🇦
Shawn this is my favorite piece ....love your flowers. I do have a question that I have been meaning to ask for quite awhile. Do you put acrylic heavy body in the bottles and add water? If so about how much water. I usually add water on my pallet but this would be easier. Thanks
If I'm using a heavy body I will water it down if I need it to be thinner. I'm getting ready to do a video showing my paints in the bottle and what it is and how I get them. That should be out this week some time.
Shawn. I look forward to every Sunday with you, So so good. Florals are some of my favorite things, And also one of my personal kryptonite's, It's just beautiful and you make it look so easy, ~Patti
Patti, thanks so much! I always come back to florals and abstracts. I just keep experimenting to find my way and what excites me. This is my adventure this year! Thanks for always encouraging my soul. Have a wonderful week.
🎉 💞 It was a wonderful video ,I feel lucky to be able to watch your videos and I would like to thank you for that,,I wish you to have a nice week 💖🙏💝🙏🙏
oh this turned out lovely ! I was surprised at how much water you used. Did you add any kind of fixative at the end? I have re subbed after being away from you for a long time and now I've signed up for that Rustic Flower class. I still have some of your old stencils. tfs
I use a spray matte varnish by Liquitex. Thanks for coming back! I so appreciate it. Have fun with the Florals workshop, I think you'll find all kinds of fun ways to create.
I’ve missed you… when I first started on my mixed media journey I used to watch your channel all the time. But i recently felt the need to paint and just bought your new course. You are an amazing teacher and an inspirational artist. Thank you for always sharing
Fabuleux 😮😍, même sans pochoirs vos fleurs sont magnifiques ! J'adore les " looses flowers", tout est dans le geste elles paraissent tellement réelles, je peux sentir leurs parfum ❤
I love this! Hadn't seen anyone use this much water with acrylics even though I know you can. I've avoided them because they were too thick for me. Now maybe I'll try again! Thank you for sharing!
Acrylic is so versatile. I can make it thicker or thinner. You can also use pouring medium to make them thinner. I always seal with a matte spray varnish. especially when I water down my paint to keep it stable.
I'm new to your channel and love your work. I really appreciate your spiritual perspectives as well. I have so many questions: to start with, that is it that you're using to add the liquid fine white lines to the piece? I checked your blog and didn't see the item in the photo or the list. I'm a digital artist for 30 years now looking to return to a more organic approach to creativity but I'm not familiar with all the products being use. Thanks in advance for your help!
