    I use a lot of Spal 14” fans cost for me is about 150 to 170 per fan 1850 cfm per fan . Then the plugs are about 20 per plug . Your shroud is killer no plastic to break or dry out over time and become brittle .

      The brushless spal fans are expensive. They are great tho. This fan is in a different league from a standard fan. I’ll do a bench test to show everyone how it works in a video when I get the correct plug for it

    The shroud and fan setup look great. It looks like it is a product from Eastwood ,Summit, or Jegs. Well done ‼️

    This is a great idea! What is the Watts on that motor?

    • @Burndown
      @Burndown  3 місяці тому +1

      This particular motor is 400 watts so it keep the amps low and wiring reasonable. I’m going to do an amp test on the bench when I get the plug I ordered in.

    Very clean looking Dane, at first glance I though you bought this and were doing a review until you started explaining the setup. Nice work.

      Glad it looks professional. It’s been quite a bit of work for me to get this to where it is. I’m happy with it though. Thank you

      @@Burndown that is the exact word, profesional or production quality. They look aluminum? If so you could always power coat or anodized them for an even more cool look. Since they are from Burndown will these be a sub-line called Cooldown?

    That’s genius! I’m not in the market right now but I’ll be interested by next year hopefully. Will you have multiple sized available? I’ll need two smaller fans

    • @Burndown
      @Burndown  3 місяці тому

      Awesome! Hopefully I can get enough interest to do a handful of them to start. The more I make the better the price is but I don’t want to sit on a bunch of them if no one want them.

      @@Burndown Dane Paul, This Developed Fan Shroud is among Your best individually developed, thought out/through, custom fabrication products which You certainly have figured it useful, helpful, beneficial, worthy for many others too.
      What did Your friends, buddies, partners at Champion Cooling and War Performance reply, respond to this fan shroud ?
      All The Best, Sincerely
      P.S. hopefully You have revisited the produced "Burndown Box", Oil catch can that You posted previously to achieve a proper placement, structure, functionality ?

    Why don't you look at Delta PAG? There thinner, lighter and have a tiny motor that doesn't block airflow. The 16" brushless fan is $389 and moves 3,200cfm. Comes with wiring harness and you can mount it flush to the core, shroud optional. Best deal and best technology, made in the USA!

      I knew of you guys but I didnt have the budget at the time they came out to put them on any of my stuff. I did the junkyard brushless fans for my builds and they worked well and were cheap but typically have lots of hours on them as they are a used item.I had one fail while driving home form Vegas in the Twinnebago. After that I wanted to figure something better out that wouldn't break the bank. Im a DIY guy and I want to offer a budget friendly option with OEM reliability to fill in the gap between the higher end brushless offerings and the used plastic junkyard fans. The target audience are guys in a garage just like me. My shrouds will be made by me her in So Cal. Thanks for stopping by the channel!

    • @deltapag5051
      @deltapag5051 Місяць тому +1

      @Burndown yeah, buying a fan from a junkyard is a crapshoot. Are you selling new fan motors and fans or just the aluminum shroud? BTW nice craftsmanship

    • @Burndown
      @Burndown  Місяць тому

      I’m leaning toward a kit just to mount an oem fan as I don’t make the fans but it just depends on what people want. It took a bit for me to find a local shop to laser my parts but I have that figured out now so the next step is to make a batch of them and figure out logistics. It definitely it a process. Your brushless water pump looks rad! What’s the amp draw on that?

    • @deltapag5051
      @deltapag5051 Місяць тому +1

      @@Burndown brushless waterpump is 16amps, variable speed, 65gpm max flow. Can work with our digital controller like a virtual thermostat.

      @@deltapag5051 That’s not bad at all considering the volume it moves. Would be a good option to have and run with the car off to cool things down quickly between rounds or whatever.

    Dane what’s the cfm of that fan ?

    • @Burndown
      @Burndown  3 місяці тому

      Not sure what they are form the factory. I'll test the fans out for amperage and see if I can find CFM and all before they are available.
