This fragrance to me is best for date nights, suit and tie, fall weddings etc.. events that’s only for a few hours in the evening in the cooler seasonal months.
Oud Wood is a fragrance that can easily wear you. What I mean is that if you're not dressed exceedingly well, and if don't have the personality for it. It simply won't work on you. Oud Wood is a cologne of few words. The slap-happy guy with the Tabasco tie can't pull it off. This scent should be reserved for the James Bond type. A man of few words who lets his body language and charisma do the talking. It brings a warmth with it; reminiscent of cherry tree crackling in the fireplace while reading old poetry and sipping a single malt. Don't douse yourself in this fragrance while you slip into Nike Slides in a pair of old sweats. This is the final act in a carefully pieced ensemble. Placed shortly after adjusting one's cufflinks.
Absolutely love it. Isn’t the most crowd pleasing but in my opinion it is the Gold Standard of the Tom Ford Private Blends. I agree it’s a perfect autumn fragrance and definitely more formal, but yes can be a little more casual in the fall.
Thanks for the info. I've smelt oud in a few fragrances but never bought one specifically for the oud, so this clip has helped me rule out some of the drier, woodier options that--yeah--might be best in the autumn, whereas I'm looking for something more wintery. (It wouldn't be Oud Wood either way.) I think it's always "cardamom", not "cardamon", but that's nothing when your reviews are intelligent and helpful. Oud isn't really mould or mouldy wood, by the way. It's wood that's got soaked with excess resin that the tree has released to combat the fungal infection. Hopefully we're all safe :D
@@FragranceHunter I was super lucky about a year ago I was in a discount site and clicked new releases and it just came in and the had 10 bottles. It’s so good if you love oud.
I own 2 oud wood and tv only other i smelled was lost cherry i like it but was little to girly sweet to my nose i need to buy more samples of tom ford soon.
@Fragrance Hunter there so many to choose from are there any must try from you have smelled ? I might buy like 6 5 ml samples at once but they're like 25$ a piece at scent split for the 5 ml each.
It's not the worst, but it smells like latex or a rubber band. Does anyone else get thise notes? I want to love it, but I can't escape the synthetic rubber balloon smell.

Top 3 Tom Fords for me in no particular order: Oud Wood, Tuscan Leather, and Ombre Leather.
Solid top 3 choices!
What about black orchid?
Agreed!
The new extreme noir is growing on me
Don't sleep on "Ebene Fume"
This is one of my favorite fall fragrances for the evening. I wouldn't recommend this for daytime wear, winter, spring, or summer season.

Definitely the gold standard for Tom Ford and represents the brand very well.
I was thinking about ordering it but I keep hearing that the performance is bad. I'm thinking even if it is it still would be worth it?
Oudwood is THE best perfume for real classic MEN. Period.

Don’t get much Oud from Oud Wood. I was expecting more Oud. Then tried Oud Wood Extreme and that’s what’s up.
Agree, the Oud is not dominant and done in a very different way than usual. I really need to get my nose on Oud Wood Intense!

Thanks, Very good rating for Oud Wood.
You welcome keep up the good work and thank you very much GOD BLESS 🙏
Ive just bought 100ml for £140 on sale. I hope im not disappointed 😂.
Are you?
@@Klauoz Turned out I bought a fake. I bought a 2ml sample, I love it. Now I'm saving up £250 for the real one from Lookfantastic.
@@strathmann2007 how’d you know it was fake? I got the 50ml for 150
Thanks!
Anyone watching this video should also watch a video called "Tom Ford - Oud Wood is Dead".
Because Tom Wood Oud Wood is not what it used to be.

You are on a good start with the two must have Private Blends

Timeless classic 🩶
Absolutely, will forever be one of my favorite Private Blends!
It smells like new money...this is not quite a luxury fregrance
for the price youd think theyd use real oud but its synthetic unfortunately
And nobody has ever successfully made a synthetic oud to ever smell like real oud. So it doesn’t even smell like oud.
Oud. 😂
Not even at that price, mostly. Stuff's as common as unicorn crap.
Performance is a mere shadow of it's former self, not worth the money....
I perfer Middle Eastern Oud fragrances a lot more.
Taylor Patricia Robinson Elizabeth Johnson Angela

You lost me on the church insense. Next!
In order to be a fragrance guy, you need to dress like one. You look like an IT guy. Follow Jeremy Fragrance for how it’s really done!
Weird comment bro, go watch Jeremy’s 1 minute random videos about nothing.
@@FragranceHunter true true. But for real man. You look nothing like a fragrance expert. At least make some attempt at style. 😂
He looks better than the current Jeremy tbh
Imagine someone with 18 subscribers trying to give advice to someone with 21K+ on how to run their YT channel 🤣🤣🤣
What oud? 😂
TF Oud Wood 🪵 introduce me to Oud. Now, I'm at Diptyque Volutes kinda of ouds 😅
Same, never tried Volutes but love Oud Palao
