I used this fragrance today and I got a compliment from a lady. She told me that I smelled very nice. It was humid and kinda warm and for me I feel this scent has a note like wet wood or wood that is like rotting and when its humid I think it shines but thats just my opinion. I don't love it but I think it's a nice fragrance.
This was my first private blend from Tom Ford. It's still one of my favorites. I just wish there was a way to make it last longer. Besides reapplying 3 or 4 times throughout the day.

But the bigger story was me being enamored by Grand Soir to the point I picked it up instead. My bottle arrived yesterday opened it and sprayed it the opening smelted like raid but as it settled down it's very woody vetiver tonka it suites my age mid 40's and very classy scent year round skin scent projection not loud which I LIKE.
I just bought Oud Wood and I absolutely love it. My only regret is I wish I would have bought the 100 mL instead of the 50 mL because you have to spray on a minimum of 15 sprays, 20 or 25 is even better, because it just will not last otherwise.

Then after I put my shirt on two spray from a little further away because I don’t want to stain the outside of my shirt with oils. That’s 10 sprays, and it doesn’t even really last all day although I smell myself and anybody who gets real close will. For projection, a few more sprays are needed. Many other scents might only need 2-3 sprays total and it lasts all day. It’s strange, this formula isn’t very potent.
For those who like TFOW, I suggest you get your nose on Thameen Carved Oud. It's a little bit more refined than OW. As with TFTL and PdM Godolphin, sometimes a different interpretation is just as worthy. In case of TL and Godolphin, I'd say Godolphin is more office-safe, and TL is for evening, date, events etc. However, in case of CO vs. OW - I really feel CO is more refined all around. It's just a little bit better than OW. And it also lasts longer. If you have to choose one, I'll recommend CO... but having both is better :) All other "interpretations" of OW - Versace, Gucci, Al Haramain, Montale ... - they are all subpar. Imho, they all suck. Only CO is on par (a little bit better).
I picked up the 100mL bottle of the Oud Wood but I’m definitely going to be getting the moisturizer and the body spray to enhance the longevity of it, great tip. I’m a big fan of the Noir, Black Orchid Parfum, and the Black Orchid EDP I’ve gotten a lot of compliments wearing those when I’ve gone out.
You shouldn’t have to do that at the price you are paying for the fragrance it’s set . I hate the fact these giant companies charge an arm and a leg for something that has average performance

I feel like its a good date cologne, if you know you're gonna get up close and personal with said date. I bought Oil Perfumery's inspiration of Oud Wood, its a roll on oil and I pair it with the Tom Ford..... it makes it stronger, imo.
I going to wearing this again. I personally didnt like it, but I will give it another shot. My favorite oud fragrance is Oud Silk Mood by MFK. On another note, the camera/film and sound quality has improved greatly. Keep up the good work.
