I have a few sets of the OG Stage bars and have been very happy with them. I like where they are going with all the pods but would love to see a pro upgrade to the stage series bars. I would also love to see more of a 4500k color option to compete more with Baja and VisionX. While Diode Dynamics is closer to white compared to pretty much any other brand, the color temp still starts bother my eyes after extended use.
Good presentation without empty thoughts. Although installing the SS3 Pros on my 2020 Chevy HD was a +3 hour venture (due to the vehicle design to reach that 3rd bolt by having to remove bumper and grille before that). The end result is a high tech looking, flush OE style bezel and light appearance / finish with a superior output amber fog light. I now feel more confident on backroads and during upcoming storms (snow, rain, fog, dust). Top tier attention to detail and design; glad I bought your product 👍🏼
Im really excited to start building my truck's lighting around your amazing product line, can't wait!! One idea I have is with my custom tail lights. I'd like to mount either the sc1 or sc2 lights in them for a reverse light and the back lighting is a bonus, I can select either the red back light and have it act as another running light source, or select the amber back light and use it as a turn indicator. Thanks for offering such a vast amount of options!! The only thing I could wish for at the moment is a slightly smoked lens/cover to hide some pods a bit better behind my grille and inside my headlights! (Gonna put a ss3 in them for extra high beams next to Morimoto MLED projectors) Cheers
@Diode Dynamics I'm looking to set my Class 11 car up with lights soon... I've been a Baja Designs guy for 20 years, but you have me on the fence with these SS5's. Would love to see some flood and driving beam pattern comparisons soon!! I'm holding off till I see more.

Btw you don’t need pay me for that idea but I will happy take ss2 set for my JgC wk2. I can cover shipping to Scotland .Thank you
Would love to see some bracket support for the SS5 on the 2019-2021+ GMC Sierra’s. There’s currently no aftermarket vehicle specific brackets for our trucks, expect for A Pillar mounts. Nothing for grill/bumper
Awesome stuff! What’s the backup kit harness you mentioned? I just got a pair of C1’s with the light duty harness and it will work fine, but if there’s an even easier way to tap into the running and reverse signals I’d be interested in that.
Hey Ryan! We just released backup kits with full harnesses. We have plug-and-play kits for the 05+ Tacoma and the 5th gen 4Runner. We also have universal kits! The harnesses offered with these kits makes this super easy to do!
Question, for the new backlight option on the SS3 pods, I plan on ordering some from ProLightz in Canada, but is there a way to see the new wiring diagram in advance of the shipment in January?
Not on launch, the problem I see with a max setup is the wattage pull would be massive. Personally it's foolish not to have them in the lineup but if a pro is gonna be 400-500 for a single pod, a max would probably be like 1400 for a pair and that's just crazy unless you race.
The wattage pull would be nearly identical to the pro model if comparing to the ss3. The osram boost HX series is a much more efficient chip and in the ss3 max it's only drawing 9.625 watts per chip vs 9 watts in the pro. So if used in the same way it would be 86.625 watts for an ss5 max. The max rating of 20 watts per chip is not used due to heat, longevity and efficiency from what I've been told. It's pretty incredible what amount of light they can throw with these boost HX chips in a TIR reflector. Too bad they only come in a 6000k color temperature.
@@aaronolsen8787 So I'd confirm with DD before you ordered but if you order the amber lights and change the lenses to white, the amber lights use a warmer chip and the amber lens to achieve the amber look. I saw a forum post where a guy was testing out all aftermarket fogs and said he switched the amber pods with a white lens and the pods had a 5000k temp color according to his lux reader. But your totally right about the Max, if they pushed the pods past 100 watts the heat and reliability would be questionable. But already by using better chips at a higher wattage the SS3 Max pods are so much brighter. The difference in SS3 Pro to Max isn't much in wattage yet the light output is immense.
Currently with the SS3 sport and pro if you buy a yellow pod and swap in a white lens you will have a 4000k white color. I run two pair of them and they are very nice and easy on the eyes. As far as i know this is the same case with the ss5.
