We Do Lighting Better Because We Test! - Авто та транспорт
I have 3 LP6s in the driving combo on my truck and they are more than most will ever need plus have a softer color temp which is easier on my eyes at night...but I have Diode Dynamics SS2 SAE fogs as well. I think DD make the tighter beam pattern over Baja Designs which i thought was more important in the fog pattern. Each company has their strengths.
This is so very true, and there's nothing wrong with mixing and matching for what you want/need!
@02:30 Baja Designs has explained their spot beam is designed in such a way as to give the Offroad driver the potential to see multiple nearby terrain features, roadway imperfections and track obstacles behind each other. Like whoops for example. Baja designs does not want their spot beam to be too tight and get absorbed by the first whoop leaving the second, third, etc. and the following turns, curves, etc. out of view. If you need a tighter “spot” then this is were their “racer edition” or even “laser” series lights come into play. Their “spot” is truly a perfect pattern for Offroad driving. None the less, another great video. Respectfully 🤘🤘
Awesome explanation, thanks for sharing!
I know it's not your market but it would be nice to see an objective review/data on an LP6 vs the new harbor freight roadshock edge.
Not a bad idea!
You guys are like my local FFL. Always showing us the good stuff and then us finding out how much the good stuff costs!
Such a well balanced and fair review!
Diode also has a max version too and the SAE in those 3 levels ...I have ss3 sae in yellow fog on my car they are pretty good 🤷 and when I got them were alot cheaper than anything else , make sure to factor in a hd harness and install
Mine are in fact great for camping have them on a switch even when car is off I click them on ..I have the clear covers on too one of them went out for a bit but both seem to be working again they were quick to respond with help and offered a replacement too but I told them might be the shop issues and if it does it again I'll have them look at it but appreciate there quick response.... They are great for driving the flood is insane and picks up where the headlights don't I could literally drive with just them on if needed but if I were to do it again would have gotten the MAX ones that you didn't mention
I would say the DD sport would be good for area lights on like the sides of roof racks etc but deff get the pros
Tagged on TikTok to show the difference with mine installed in real life on my car DD SS3 SAE PRO IN YELLOW WITH CLEAR COVERS
I would be interested to see if you had a 1500$ budget what gets you the most light.
New video idea! 💡
After seeing these prices, Imma stick to Sylvania and their pod lights....
Do they still have any competitive options?
There are some great budget-friendly pod lights on the market too!
@@ironfan998 Sylvania discontinued most of thier other pod lights and released updated or rebadged versions of them check their website
For real....$400+ for a light....phew.
Do they make an alternating red/blue backlight? Asking for a friend.
🤦🏻♂️🤦🏻♂️

I am not aware of any vehicle code that allows the use of any other colors other than white and yellow as forward facing light; except on designated emergency vehicles.
Because "off-road" use 🙄
We typically only recommend white/yellow/amber for on-road use regardless, RGB or color functions should be for off-road or show use only.
I wish Diode Dynamics would elaborate on why the Sport & Pro are so similar but vary in pricing.
They do. The pros will hold the brightness longer under use.
