I am an older catechumen and definitely made the mistake of going in too hard. I have since backed off. A few notes: The Orthodox Study Bible has sections on morning and evening prayers, that include the daily scripture readings (lectionary) and important psalms. It is pretty accessible to us newbies imo. If you search "orthodox morning/evening prayers" on YT, you can play the prayers while walking or working out. I also set a small prayer corner inside a milk crate in my small basement gym and would read one prayer between each set, using the "Little Red" prayer book by the Antiochian Church. I light a candle while working out.
I have literally prayed last night to show me how to pray with all my heart. I felt like the prayers I were saying were just rehearsed words and that they werent coming from a genuine place. The fact that this video came on my feed was truly an answer from God. Thank you.

Thank you. As an inquirer (about to become catechumen next week) I tried to start with lots of prostrations and prayers but I burnt out. I am now focusing on morning and evening prayers and scripture readings and I hope to eventually attain the mindset of “pray without ceasing”
This is very common btw, the universal advice you'll get on this is to start with the minimum you can do consistently until you can speak to a priest, then ask them to give you a prayer rule & do exactly what they tell you to do, no more no less. Also, don't discuss your ascetic practice or specific experiences of Grace with anyone except cherry. And, the extent to which you have decided expectations for your future spiritual progress is typically the extent to which you will fail & be given extra trials to humble you out of self reliance. ☦️
