  • Mercedes recently unveiled several captivating visuals of the upcoming convertible CLE, affirming its scheduled release for the year 2024. Excitingly, the CLE will be available for purchase in Europe as early as November, while North American enthusiasts can anticipate its arrival in the beginning months of 2024. What's even more thrilling is that the CLE Cabriolet, a delightful top-down variant, will grace the showrooms of both continents in the latter part of that eventful year.
Unlike its C-Class counterpart, the CLE comes with a range of engine options that are sure to get your heart racing. The star of the show is the CLE 450 4Matic, featuring a turbocharged 3.0-liter inline-six engine with not one, but two snappy turbochargers. With the help of an integrated starter generator, this powertrain churns out an impressive 375 horsepower and 369 pound-feet of torque. It's mated to a smooth-shifting nine-speed automatic transmission and an all-wheel-drive system that has been given a sleek redesign, shedding some weight in the process.
Now, for those looking for a taste of luxury in a more modest package, fear not! The United States market will also be treated to a base model, the CLE 300 4Matic. It may have fewer cylinders, but it's no slouch. Under the hood, you'll find a 2.0-liter turbo engine, also equipped with a mild hybrid setup. This feisty powerplant delivers a spirited 255 horsepower and 295 pound-feet of torque. And yes, it too is paired with the same nine-speed automatic transmission and Mercedes' trusted 4Matic system. As for performance specifics, we'll have to wait a little longer for the full scoop, but we do know that the top speed will be electronically capped at 130 miles per hour.

Yes, it really doesn’t look good, especially the white one
In fact, the interior is also very disappointing. Spend E money and get C quality?

Year 2024 NO sequential turn signals....Hey Mercedes...
Lights are very boring and back windows don't GO DOWN. I'm owner C coupe and this is more replica... have a nice day from Europe

Don't let Mercedes fool you. The only E-Class thing about this vehicle will be the price. This is completely and utterly a C-Class 2-door at an inflated price to maximize profits on a low volume vehicle that appeals to a small demographic that will pay for it. To that demographic, I say this: keep your money because Mercedes is deliberately trying to exploit you. There are better choices out there at a lower price. Buy a BMW Z4 or a C8 Corvette convertible with mid-engine V8 power. Or if you really want a three pointed star, get a preowned E-Class or even S-Class 2-door. Either one will have more room, more prestige and more power than this car.

      You don't really compare a z4 aka a roadster with a C or E (or S) cabriolet/convertible, don't you?
These are 2 totally different leagues.

@@famaccount479 Due to the potential of having comparable pricing, cross shopping the two is possible if a fun luxury convertible is the objective.

@@alancooper4368 Yeah, thanks for confirming. The casual luxury buyer could be duped, but the informed enthusiast will find better value elsewhere.

@@dash-ryan Once again, a 4 seat full size cabriolet is a totally different league. You cant compare it with a Z4 or an equivalent and say hey, they are cheaper. A 2 seat roadster is a different car, much smaller and sportier and so ofc also cheaper.
