Yea, it turned out way cooler than I expected. I didn't think that the liner would look very good as paint, but it makes the truck look so aggressive.
Great build Chris the only things I would personally do is paint the for jams black to match and get wheels with maybe a -35 offset so they poke out a little bit more make they flares look like they are doing something.

Congrats Chris! IMO the brilliant part of this isn't so much the repairs that you did (they're great) but that you found a vehicle at a great price that could be fixed and fixed up reasonably. You've got Co-Part skills and finding a good vehicle for a build is just as important as fixing and finishing it! Thanks!

I covered My old 4Runner from top to bottom with Rinohide... it was a ball driving through brush and emerging without a scratch!

As an fj owner, yes this is the cheapest one lol. Crazy deal
got our 2008 for 8k. had a cluster swapped on it at some point, the actual engine mileage is more around 230k but the cluster reads 120k. If the person selling it didn't tell us that, we would of never known unless plugging in a code reader, it's in pretty damn good shape and that rare dark purple color
Do you plan on putting a new engine in when it dies? Seems like a big risk/waste of money otherwise.
I just buy one for 7k with 100k milles perfect condition only problem it's the pinion 😜
Now if he sold it it will at least make triple profit.

don198769 Its a very delicate and slightly difficult process to do in all vehicles.
I got my car painted in the past and painting in the doorjams alone was an extra $600 so i opted out.
