This is so fascinating, I used to live on 33rd street next to St. Catherine’s church. I was born in New York and we my family left back to Greece in 1984, I was just a toddler. I have some memories of Astoria but mainly it is photographs and my parents telling nostalgic stories of those times. This video is just something amazing. Can’t wait to share it with my mother, she might even recognize some of the people

Does anyone have picture of crystal gardens? It was on 24th ave from 27th st through 29th street. I have yet to see an image of it. I’ve heard about it my entire life (46 years) of how beautiful it was. If anyone has an image, please contact me.
