Most Greek are moving to Whitestone. Astoria was nice for awile but nothing like the old 8th Avenue BOUZOUKI BOULEVARD of Manhattan which died out in the 1960’s.

Greeks that migrated to Melbourne, Australia after they lost their homeland in the Greco-Turkish War of 1919-1922 are doing well. Australia has an enlightened immigration policy that understands what "garbage in, garbage out" means.

Hey it’s 2024 and Astoria is NOT Greek anymore. 80% of the Greeks moved out and it’s a LGBTQ trans Liberal stronghold. All the Greek clubs are out of business and almost ALL the Greek Cafes have closed their doors. It’s been dead in Astoria for many years leading up to this transformation. It’s a disgusting neighborhood
