This is one of the videos that helped me decide to purchase a Mega Slam Hoop. I considered Mega Slam, Pro Dunk and Goalrilla for my in-ground hoop and I am extremely pleased with the Mega Slam 60 that I purchased. This is the best in ground hoop I have ever used, it is extremely solid with no vibration. Mega Slam gives you a warranty on the backboard that is unbelievable! If it ever breaks, even if it is your fault, they will send you a new backboard and not even charge you for the shipping. They don’t just send glass replacement, they send an entire backboard. This warranty is a one-time replacement. This is a fantastic company with a fantastic product. You will not regret your decision to go with Mega Slam.
You nailed everything in this review. I've had a MS 60 installed since 2014 and play on it extensively and it still looks brand new. I'm in Cincinnati and the last couple winters have been harsh but you wouldn't be able to tell by the condition of the MS. The only difference in mine is that I have a Gared Snapback rim installed (the official rim of the NBA from 1981-2008). To piggyback on the Savvy Tech's mention on customer service. I traded several emails with Matt from MS and he was beyond helpful. I too was down to MS and ProDunk. Matt gave me a bullet point list of everything MS did better and the costs they absorb to bring the customer the best possible home system. I could not be more satisfied! For any of you in cold weather states or those that have alot of rain/snow in the winters....do not fear about how this system will hold up...it will continue looking new while all the Goalrilla/Goaliath systems rust out inside of two years.
@@aurelius1620 you could probably just lower the goal and put a tarp (from harbor freight) over the entire board and goal to keep it from getting wet or snowed on. That's what I plan on doing to keep it clean during winter. Also I plan on spraying WD40 on all nuts and bolts once or twice a year to keep them from rusting.
I am looking at hoops for my son and was leaning towards ProDunk. Then I found MegaSlam and this video. This was GREAT. One thing that I will add is that there have been some modifications to the PD hoop (i.e. thicker steal, etc.), but this video points out some of the things that I would have NEVER thought about such as the backboard construction, finish, the H design on PS, etc. This video has educated me so much more and now the choice is clear. MS. Thanks J Dez!
I found your comparison of both systems extremely helpful. It made purchasing the MS-72 much less stressful. Thanks for taking the time to put together this video.
I have been in the market for about a month and was all about the pro Dunk (mainly because my neighbor has one and it works) but after seeing this I have changed my mind. Glad I saw the video. Thanks Megaslam.
Great review! I was going back and forth between the two until I saw this review. I almost feel bad for Pro Dunk Hoops but with all things being fair and both products side by side fresh out the box, the craftsmanship speaks for itself. Thanks for taking the time to share this.
Absolutely awesome and informative review and level of detail was amazing answering many questions that are very difficult to get until after you purchase. 5 star dude!!
Is there even any comparison? The mega slam is obviously much better by the content of this review. The pro dunk seems cheaply built and designed whereas the mega slam seems authentic and durable. Thanks for the review.
wow what a fucking review you are my hero you fucking guy you...megaslam all the way for my dedicated outdoor back yard court....fuckin love you for this
Made my choice easy and may I say kudos to you sir for donating the other goal to your church

In the winter what did you do in the winter because of the snow do you put a cover on the hoop and where can I find it

You are super cool. The best and clearest review I've seen after much searching. Thanks!
Spot on, man. Not sure I can afford either at this point, but if I ever budge and spend the money, I know which one I'm going with.
I wish I could afford just one of these
Great detailed review! Think I'm convinced!
