Court Tiles $4500.
Hoop $2200.
Patio/sublayer/surrounding aesthetics all depends on your preference. My yard is on a slope so we had to add additional soil, build an 18" concrete footing at the end and went with a 5" slab. Once completed, additional soil was added to grade the ground around the court and finish it with sod. Concrete cost was $10k.
Sod/soil $2k.
Install for hoop was about $600.

This is the coolest court on youtube!

You did an absolutely fantastic job on that, my next door neighbor once had a beautiful half court he made all by himself and had it for years. Sadly he passed away and two months later his wife had it all dug up with heavy equipment, I couldn't believe it. I guess she never liked it, because she planted grass there and let the yard grow back.
Appreciate the kind words. Thank you! I guess she'll get more use out of the yard with the grass being there. I can't imagine ripping mine apart, but if I was to ever change it, I'd perhaps build an entertainment area on the concrete slab.
Nice video man,I got mine about 4 years ago it still is holding up well.i went with the Goalrilla hoop system. My boys love it. We went with the high school measurements. We had them put a pickleball court on too.
I’m glad that you did a head to head comparison of the responsiveness and customer support between the two companies (Sport Court and VersaCourt). More comparisons like this are needed.
I will have one of that one day. Its just insane. Great job boys.
hell yeah that looks nice think i might have to get me one now and IM a huge fan of not having to mow as much thanks to the concrete pad lol less time cutting grass and more time cutting on the court
Todd is definitely dope! I’m renovating my hometowns basketball court and I’ll be installing Versacourt October 17th 2020 can’t wait!
Kudos to you for renovating in your hometown! LOVE!
Nice job, I like seeing Aurian doing some work lol
Man this video was so high quality. Good job guys
Thanks for watching and appreciate the love!
Looks really nice man have fun
Really well done and useful video!
Thanks guys!
Nice, I wish I had one of these right now since gyms aren't open.
Was just telling my wife how grateful I am to have this in our backyard. Keeps the little guy busy for hours.
Same but they cost so much money

Super jealous! Looks great!
We get our Megaslam XL installed (well started) tomorrow! We are all really excited about it. My court which is 31' from the hoop, seems small for a hoop like this but really the 72 model is as big as the XL is only a little bigger with the pole and an extra foot of overhang. I figured just get the best when it's so close in price.
Agreed, you won't be disappointed. Only thing I've had to do is tighten the rim bolts every spring as kids love to hang on it when lowered.
wish i even had a backyard that big
So awesome!!
Awesome clean vid dad!!
U so rich man lol when i grown up I'ma get myself.a.court and dunk on my kids lol, I'm 6'1 and 19 so iplay big man. It's awesome that you be got yourself a court
This is the coolest shit I’ve ever seen
Great video! Keep it up.
That’s sick!
I really wish i had a court in my backyard. .ur so lucky... btw this court is fireee😀
Nice editing on the first shot bro
Good editing
loved it
Sick 🙌
That is WAY realistic basketball court 🏀🤩😃💪🏻👍🏻👏🏻😱
Love the colors on the court, nice pick!
Does the light grey get dirty quick?
Thanks! The light grey actually keeps dirt stains off compared the the darker tiles.
That looks amazing!! What did the tiles cost? Did they recommend or hire the concrete slab company?
Thank you! Court Tiles $4500, Hoop $2200. Patio/sublayer/surrounding aesthetics all depends on your preference. My yard is on a slope so we had to add additional soil, build an 18" concrete footing at the end and went with a 5" slab. Once completed, additional soil was added to grade the ground around the court and finish it with sod. Concrete cost was $10k, Sod/soil $2k. I got a few quotes from concrete suppliers around the area and went with who I felt comfortable with and seemed knowledgeable based on the grade of the ground.
Dope setup. I got a Megaslam XL hoop last May, with a 27x22 foot concrete slab. I was looking at Versa Court last year as well, and will prob get will get one at some point. I’d be curious to see a review from you about the hoop.
Hi Marlon - Thanks for watching. The Megaslam XL is a solid hoop. Does not move at all. I'm curious if I'll have to eventually tighten any of the bolts over time but, so far so good. Even with strong winds, I have not seen the hoop move or shake. It's nice to have the option to lower it, but 99% of the time it sits at 10ft.
Marlon, How is the 27x22 concrete slab? Does it feel big enough? Think that's as big as I can get it in my yard. Maybe a little more on the width by like a foot or two more
hi chirag bhai. big fan. love from schaumburg.
🔥🔥🔥
Hey Shaggy what's up!!!! LOL, I just subscribed!
I wanted a court but I just wanted to know how durable it is and if cars or any other vehicles can be parked upon it.
Nice, if I ever spent the money on a court like this, I would make sure there was enough room on the sides, so you could shoot 3s from the sides as well. Either way, looks really nice, I wonder how this court material would hold in colder climates?
Yaaaa...If I had the room, I would've done it. City limits you to how much of your yard is covered and doesn't allow more than 50% of your property to be covered. Holds up fine over the winter season based on other folks I've spoken to. We've had this go through 1 winter season so far and no issues at all.
@@djshag Oh that makes sense, it's still super nice tho
What company did you use to grade the sod and soil around the court , it looks really good since your yard is on a slope. I have a similar situation now where I have a slope at 13” on one side and need to build up the grade to the court. Is the versa court good for the knees?
Hard Rock Design who did my concrete work also did the grading, soil and sod. You can always get your landscaper to do this as well. Just make sure that the slab has a footing at the end of the slope to avoid cracks in the middle of your pad over time.. Yes, the court tile is gentle on your knees. The sound is also absorbed a bit.
I wish I had a backyard court
I wish they could come do mines
🔥
Sweet court! I’m having a 25’x 25’ pad poured in the spring. Having a tough time deciding between 60 and 72 backboard. Would you have still gone with the 72 with a 25’ court?
Yes, for sure! Go 72”. Closer to or at regulation is ideal.
Bold!
Great video btw. How does it hold up in winter with snow, ice, freezing weather? And did it add value to your home? debating if i should use tile vrs just concrete in the city of Chicago
Thank you! No issues over winter. Snow and Ice simply melts /drains through the court tiles. Still looks brand new. Not sure how much value it add's as its hard to quantify that but I'm sure it would for the right buyer. In my opinion its better on the knees and offers better grip vs. concrete.
I am a sports floor saller. This kind of floor can be used in the hot Middle East and the cold northern Europe. There are drainage holes on the surface, so there is no need to worry about water accumulation.
Maybe it will protect your knees when playing basketball, especially since some floors have shock absorbing pads.
Most of my comments are negative...... not today that ish is dopeeeeeee!
Thank you! Appreciate that.
Beautiful court! Is that the graphite around the main part of the court with titanium in the key? I’m trying to decide now, but the sales rep told me that graphite would be susceptible to fading similar to the black color. Thank you for your feedback!
Hi Jonathan, Thanks! The court is Graphite and the lane and border are Titanium. Feel free to email if you have any additional questions. Happy to help.
Shaggy - Awesome! The DIY design feature on the website makes the graphite color look a little brownish for some reason. Does the graphite color hide footprints and dirt well? I was considering black but it’ll probably show every single blemish. I also noticed you mentioned the court needing to cure for 28 days. Did you literally let the concrete slab sit for that long before you stepped foot on it?
Yes, graphite does hide it well. While black will show dirty foot prints, nothing a little rain won't take care of. Based on our emails, you have a couple options to consider :) Concrete just needs to cure for 28 days before you seal it. You can step on it as soon as 24 hours, but just wait 28 days at minimum to seal it.
How is the hoop holding up? Any regrets? I’m getting ready to pull the trigger on the mega slam or the goalrilla. Did you look into the goalrilla at all?
Thanks
Still looks great. No regrets. I did look at Goalrilla and felt like the quality with Megaslam was a bit better. I also asked a few local installers who deal with both brands and they recommended Megaslam.
Awesome court! How has the court held up over the Chicago winters? Do you have to cover it before the snow?
Thanks Tom! No issues at all. Still looks brand new and no need to cover it before the winter. Snow/Ice melts through the court tile and drains away. The material is designed to handle our weather.
I am a sports floor salesperson. This floor can withstand low temperatures around -60°C and has drainage holes on the surface that do not need to be covered before snow falls.
Where did you get the net that goes behind the back board? I’m trying to find something that will prevent the ball from going into my neighbor behind me.
Ordered directly from Mega Slam. The net is designed for their system and pretty easy to take down over the winter. This winter I kept it on and it still looks good as new.
your back yard look amazing
how much was the whole project all together
Thanks! Court Tiles $4500, Hoop $2200. Patio/sublayer/surrounding aesthetics all depends on your preference. How much does a project like this cost? The concrete pad and then the versacourt surface? Is the versacourt weatherproof or is there a cover for it?

Can i get the link for where you got the tiles?
Just a question do does mats on the floor move or no
I have not had them move.
He you put the court by 1 foot from concrete pad? What is your over hang?
5ft overhang on the hoop, so you have 4ft behind the basket (Baseline).
Dam thats all cool and all but what happens when it rains?? Do the court pads get soggy?
No issues with rain, snow or Ice. The material is a hard plastic so it just goes through it.
Shaggy wow thats great im more likely to get it now thanks!!!
Hello. Did you have to get a permit for the basketball hoop since they had to dig 5 ft? Also, does the basketball court have to be built on concrete...would the squares hold up on grass? Thanks
Permits were pulled and also had to call JULIE (811) to make sure no utility lines were running where the hoop was to be installed. Tiles can be laid on concrete or asphalt. You would not want to lay them directly on grass.
What are the dimensions of the court at the end when all the tiles were put down?
31x30
I just bought the megaslam xl! Did you actually get your hoop for $2,200? Because when I bought it, it was $2,350
Yes. Believe it was on sale during that time.
Did you need to get a permit from town for the job? Also did your tax go up?
Permit, yes. Mainly for the concrete patio. Taxes going up, no.
How did you add the Jordan logo in the middle?
I asked VersaCourt to add that for me. Once you supply them with an image, they can add it for you.
What's the total cost? Thinking of splurging and creating this for my son😅 (I see in the description, approx 19k) which is a really decent price
Thats the total cost. Happy to help if you have additional questions.
How much were the tiles for your size court? Shit looks super clean but I know it cost a grip and a half!
About $4500 for the tiles.
@@djshag and what about for the hoop
@@ouziclips $2200 for the MegaSlam XL
That shit make your house look legit how that floor hold up after it rain and you trying to ball
Thanks! No issues in the rain, but I wouldn't go out there immediately after a rainfall as it can be slippery. The kids still go out there and if you're just shooting around it's fine. Dries up quick as the water just beads through the tile.
@@djshag appreciate your reply can’t wait till I order mines
The hoop reaches out over the slab quite a ways. Is that important?
Yes, it's at regulation(4 feet) to allow for enough play area under the hoop.
I bought the MegaSlam 60. I got a 30x30 court coming in. Just want to know so you find it hotter in the backyard because of the concrete. Does the lighter color help? I was thinking About going with Gray black and red
Glad to hear! Dont find it to be any hotter than usual. I'm sure the lighter color does help vs. going with black. The other issue with black is that it shows the footprints until the rain washes it off.
@@djshag yeah I ended up choosing gray with red in the paint. Thanks for your response. I can't wait till they get started. Lol. Also I heard the tiles shift a little, have you had that experience?
Nice! Yes, they do shift over time depending on the size of your court. Mine have not shifted yet, but they have contracted and expanded with the weather change. About a quarter to half inch.
@@djshag thanks for the info. Much appreciated.
@@djshag how is it when it gets wet. Like if it rains or something? Does it get slippery?
How much did court tiles cost and where did you get them?

Does the tiles add better grip?
Vs. Concrete, yes.
where did you order the half court jordan logo floor?
VersaCourt
Can a car be parked on the court, if so will the court tiles break.
Not sure. You’d have to check with the company. There are other companies that make tiles for the garage.
I'm jealous..why u guys dont go full side size??
Limited space.
Bro this cost you a house and a car here in philippines I wish I have this too
How do i get the jordan tiles???? I cant find em anywhere on the website?
Contact Todd Canon at todd.cannon@versacourt.com. He'll walk you through the process.
How do the tiles stay in place? Do they shift when playing or when it rains?
They stay in place for me. No movement. If the court was smaller I can see them moving a bit but I believe they sell a product to drill down one side to prevent the tiles from moving.
If your basketball court is small, it may move during games, but some sports floors have bolt holes that allow you to bolt them to the ground.
How much usd did it end up costing in total?
Court Tiles $4500, Hoop $2200. Patio/sublayer/surrounding aesthetics all depends on your preference. Do the tiles move when playing on them? Dont want the whole thing slow sliding
They do shrink and expand about 1" based on weather. Not noticeable. Haven't had my court shift. I can see it being an issue on a smaller court though. Some people do bolt down a single side so it doesn't move around.
The gap will change during thermal expansion and contraction, but it will not be displaced during movement.
Have you guys tried dunking and hanging on heights lower than 10?
Yes. Have had 3 kids hanging on it at once and there's zero issue.
Nice setup!! Just bought the megaslam 72. I see you have the backstop net as well. Is the backstop net worth it?
Hi Jacob, Yes, def. worth it!
did Versacourt do the jumpman logo too.
Yes, they did. They just need you to provide the image you want.
What was the total price after everything? Installation, concrete, etc.

Is it hard to dribble on with those mats
Nope. No difference.
How big is the court? Like overall dimensions of the concrete slab
31x30, plus 10x26 for the patio portion
How's the court holding up today? Any regrets or suggestions?
Holding up really well Demarcus. This year I will probably split the tiles up in 3 equal pieces and remove to clean the patio underneath. The court itself is holing up really well. I figured by know the painted lines may show some wear, but still looks good as new.
Is your tiles costumize?
Color and lines are customizable
What happens when it rains or snows
Nothing. It trickles through the tile and runs under and over.
What's the specific name of the tiles used?
Game Outdoor Tile by Versacourt.
The 41 by 30, does that include the patio area?
Yes, 10x26 is the patio area. Court is 31x30.
Is this NBA Range 3?
@@lifeofsubstance9724 NBA Range would be 23',9". NCAA was 19',9" and then changed in 2008 to 20',9". This year it changed to 22',1" to meet international regulations. Mine is at 20',5". The boarder where the grey tile meets the dark grey is exactly at 23',9".

How is the traction on the court???
Traction is great. Just can't go out there and look for traction after rain or if the grass is still wet. If working on stationary shots, it's great after rain as the water flows through the tile.

HAHA! Let me know if I can help bro.
$2200 from a professional installer?? it's $2250 if you buy direct and install yourself, so its even cheaper to get it professionally installed? did you get a special deal on it, or buy it during some kind of sale?
The hoop system was $2200 on sale. Install is separate. They've got recommended installers on their site. Install was about $600.
Do they provide the bag of concrete mix with the $600 installation?
Yes, that includes the concrete. I think it was about 30+ bags.
