Was told by someone on line that this beautiful boat is no longer in Peoria. It has been in another city (don't remember where) and now gone from there, too. SAD. Belongs in a new city!
@@mikebrzostowski8183 Currently it is in La Cross Wis and I believe it will be in operation soon if not already. It does show up there on Marine Traffic.
I remember being a kid in Peoria when the Julia Belle was located there and every summer the Delta Queen would travel up to race from the McCluggage Bridge to the Murray Baker Bridge downtown.
I'm guessing the boilers are diesel fired which means a lot less smoke and appears that there are covers over the shafts for safety. Agreed that it is a beautiful vessel.
Absolutely great video. I want to ask if I can use a short clip from it in a noncommercial video with our school orchestra and choir playing an Open Air Concert. It is a number with the motto "Mississippi Feelings" and your video would fit perfectly. We will upload on UA-cam for free watching in July. We could not play an Open Air Concert last year and this year and I will produce a Best-Of as a memory. Thank you.

I love this boat I love it because it is a steam and the steam funnels and the paddles it looks like the sultana boat a bit
