I have both diamonds and moissanites - although they are similar, I find the moissanites, although colourless, look "white" where a diamond to me looks "clear." Especially in daylight. Under fluorescents, moissanite more sparkly, but I still don't find they look the same. Each has a place in my life though, lol! My fave is an OEC moissanite though - which is supposed to throw off more pastel colours anyway, as an OEC diamond would.

Yes , i have noticed the moissanite being more of a white than clear

look's white because of the double light refraction. it slightly clouds the appearance. Impossible to tell without a regular diamond to compare it to though. I also think the harder shine of moissonites make up for this. I think it just looks better overall.

I have a 2.5 carat round brilliant diamond solitaire engagement ring and a 6 ct oval moissanite ring I got myself when I got pregnant with my daughter as I gift to me …. and I LOVE BOTH they are different but they are equally so beautiful ❤ so you can’t go wrong choosing a moissanite over diamond 💍 you just have to find a good moissanite … don’t get scammed online 😊

While I loved my moissanite at first, I wish I had gone with a lab diamond. Lauren B wasn’t making oec lab diamonds when I purchased the moissanite and now they do I wish I waited! Unfortunately there’s not really a market for selling pre loved moissanite jewelry like there is for diamonds.
