  • We explore the Rogue River Valley in Oregon and it is a jaw dropper. Right outside Crater Lake National Park lies a raging river cutting it's way through lava forming a deep gorge. Take a short walk and BAM you are right there to witness this amazing act of nature. Also, close by nature strikes again when the river disappears into a lava tube for 200 feet creating a natural bridge. Oh and the fall colors and light rain create a magical day of exploring in Oregon.

I lived in a house on the Rogue river on the east edge of Grants Pass for about 10 years, lots of people kayaking down the river there, beautiful place with the mountains in the background.

We are two retired Texans. We are planning to do this hike next June. I have reservations at Farewell Bend just to the north of your 1st stop at the gorge.

I love going to nature and pretending I’m still a part of it. I hate cities and people(abundant and or nasty people) Oregon has so much mOre to explore than what posted online too. You could go up any mountain with a little bit of sense of direction and still have a blast. Hope you guys are being safe where u go

I should’ve gone to this area when I went to crater lake from Medford. Watching this makes me wants to get out there again but on a motorcycle. One day I want a camper for my pickup to do what u guys do. Great video and thanks for the inspiration. Cheers!

Can I ask what you do to keep your dog safe, when you go out for your day trips without him?

We pretty much took him everywhere with us. If he wasn't on the trail with us and if the weather was cool enough (pretty much always was) he would just sleep in the truck.

I got the oompa loompa joke. No need to apologize.
